My exact thoughts. In fact, at first I didn't think I cared for it so much, but then I realized that I'd like it without the keyboard.

Aww....to me, that's a sad thing to do to such a beautiful baby grand piano. I'd rather spend the money to get the piano into good working condition than spend he money to add interior shelves.. After removing the all wood legs, I guess they just threw them in the trash? Sad.

I think without the keyboard you wouldn't know what it originally was. It's cleaver, but doesn't thrillme

It's probably the world's most expensive bookcase. Even a broken baby grand is worth a fair amount of money.

I guess it;s just me, but I don't care for it at all, except for maybe in a rec room. Too bulky for my taste. JMHO.

Yes, very clever for sure--kind of reminds me of turning a row boat into a free standing shelf.

I don't like it as a shelf with or without the keyboard. The shape of it as shelves does not appeal to me. I would prefer trying to repair it, then sell it, or donate it to a church, school, etc. If it's way too costly to repair, then repurposing is better than junking it. JMO

I would donate it if I did not want to have it repaired. It seems like a waste of a beautiful piano to me.
