my mom used amonia when she washed my dad's work clothes. Might be worth a try. I've also hear vinegar works with tough smells.

This has no reviews. I am wondering if anyone has used it, and if gets diesel and diesel odors out of clothing? My husband inevitably gets some on his clothes when he does anything with diesel and I have a terrible time trying to get the smell out. I’ve tried Dawn, lestoil, Zero Odor, and Borax. I wonder if this product would do it.

Put gp66 in the search bar and you will see the product.

Thanks! I should have thought of that. I read the many, many bad reviews and decided to steer clear.

You might try washing soda. Worked on my FIL and DH clothes with diesel spilled on them from heavy equipment and farm tractor.
