Favorite bath towels?

I searched the forums for towel recommendations and came across one from 2021, but wanted to ask again since quality changes.

I need to replace bath towels and I’m waiting for the stores to have their white sales. A lot of the reviews I’m reading online complain of lint or snagging so I’m trying to find some that don’t do that. I purchased a brand of towels several years ago at Nordstrom rack that had fabulous reviews and they were the worst towels I ever bought! So many “incentivized” reviews nowadays, I don’t know what to trust. Thanks for any suggestions!

The Company Store 100% Egyptian Cotton is probably my favorite. I think Sams Hotel Collection is a good value.

Long ago I was shocked at the weight and weave of towels in some other countries. But I came to be a convert. Heavy terry does not dry well. A friend now swears by micro, like those hair towels, but I am not there yet.

I used to get the high tier of Biltmore House from Belk who hit rock bottom 5 years ago when they were sold. They now only offer the low tier.

My towels are now coming from Dillards. I know they are good quality.

I use an Aquis towel for my hair but no joke I bought Walmart performance textured bath sheets recently for 8 bucks and I'm surprisingly happy with them.

I love 100% cotton bath towels but I hate how long they take to dry (my electric bill!) so I went looking for a fast-drying cotton towel and found them at JCPs. They feel nice, look nice, launder well and they dry fast.

ETA-

"Fast dry" doesn't mean thin. It's just a different kind of weave they use to make the towels so they dry faster.

When I was redecorating the shore house, I bought towels from two different stores and love them: Vera Wang at Kohl's on sale plus discount coupons, and a featured brand at JC Penney's. Beautiful colors that have held their shade as well as fullness. Lint in the dryer after the first two washes. Good ability to remove moisture too.

Not really expensive considering the long lived great qualities !

I agree with @BunSnoop the "Big Ones" from Kohls. Great towels and reasonably priced.

I agree with you the Sams club Hotel Collection are very good towels for the money. I also got my daughter a faux fur bedspread by the same brand that is very nice and only 49.99 for the queen size.

I always rinse my towels in white vinegar. They are much more absorbent.

@Natureluvr All of my bath towels are LL Bean turkish towels. They are wonderfully absorbent, dry quickly and they last forever. I believe they come up on the website under Organic Textured Cotton Towels. I swear by them.

I've bought most of ours on sale at Horchow. They have several great brands that last forever. Macy's has some good ones too as does Company Store.

I've had several from Kohls that were good. I bought some from lands end, which I like, but I bought bath sheets that actually seemed too big. The quality is great though.

I need some new bath towels as well, but I need to buy them in person. So many of them are just too large and too heavy. The extra thick towels look good but they're difficult to handle on a wet body!!

I too use thick Turkish towels for bath towels. The thinner ones are great for wrapping your wet hair in.

Both dry much quicker than than terry.

For years, I bought the Charisma towels at Costco. They're nice and reasonably priced, if you like traditional towels. That said, this past spring I converted to thin 100% Cotton Turkish bath towels. They're large and wrap around well, absorb quickly and completely, and re-dry fast as well. They may not be everyone's cup of tea, like my DH's, but I like them.
