BREEZY BREAKFAST NOOK, PLUS...

The rest of the house has a certain verve too. Love the painting.

Living room--

The living room seems so "well-travelled". Love the wicker chair and exotic inlaid side table--

Funny how one interesting sculpture, like this darling horse, can have such an impact...

Ever since spotting Lee Radziwill's green bedroom in a magazine, I've been crazy about fresh, celery green walls, a passion that Kevin seems to share-- he did two rooms of them in this house. Tufted headboards are a bit on the glam side for me, but oh well... Blue and green are so restful ...

The porch is dreamy, and oh-so-California--

Nice one, @Oznell . I could live there.

I'm stuck on the side table in the living room. Is it inlaid or mirrored? Is it really a table or a shelf with a faux base?

I've rarely seen breakfast nooks outside of the United States. Anyone know anything about their history? I had relatives who lived in a mansion. Their "breakfast nook" was the size of a formal dining room for ten. The dining room could seat twenty, and the "event room" could seat at leat 100.

I enlarged the photo, the side table is inlaid, not sure about the top of it. I'm looking at the one next to the fireplace.

The longer table long the wall is mirrored on the side facing us.

All-in-all I really like this one and would enjoy living there, I think! It's interesting!

The light fixture in the corner nook fits right into the "feel" for me, but I believe it'd find something else...maybe still with that shape of graceful wrought iron "arms".

Love the living room, especially the shutters, rug, furniture, unadorned mantle and fresh flowers.

The breakfast nook is sweet, pretty patterns and lovely blue chair coverings. We had a breakfast nook in the house I grew up in and have the same comment about that nook as this one, it's just a bit too tight.

The bedroom glass doors add so much.

How very pretty! I love a lot! From the colors in the breakfast nook to the charming botanical print on the seat and the play house window, I would change out the modern pedistal table and never leave.

The colors in the LR are mainly driven by the accent pillows. You could use any print and color! Love the big window shutter.

Not fond of anything in the primary bedroom. I would do more of a plantation bedroom. I would get different chests as well.

The porch is perfect with that wonferful texture and frothy white.

I could read all day there in the soft breeze...........

I love every room. The colors and setting is fabulous.

I'm the odd gal out, I especially love the chandelier in the nook, somehow it fits in.

The bedroom, I could lay in the bed and feel right at ease. Gorgeous!

@PickyPicky3 , I think you must be referring to the sort of midcentury modern console in the living room, as @Alsace Gal surmised? It does look mirrored or something...

The inlaid side table that I was referring to, is the small one between the wicker chair and the fireplace. Those little Moroccan tables are so handy for holding a book or a drink, and they were frequently inlaid, often with mother of pearl or other appealing materials...Or:

Love the way they can introduce a note of 'global interest' into a room...

Add me as a lover of those shutters. Had not analyzed it before, but I do think that's a big part of the airy, cosmopolitan, almost "vacation" feeling in the house. And yet, the louvered wood brings in a cozy element too...

Overall, I like the aesthetic with some changes:

The wicker has to go. All of it. I hate wicker.🤣
