Happy Thanksgiving to all!

This time of year, it's fun to see what Carolyne Roehm has done, decorating her New York apartment and her stately Connecticut house. She was once an assistant to designer Oscar de la Renta, who mentored her. Later, she launched a design career of her own. Fashion designer Bill Blass called her "the ultimate tastemaker".

Have shown bits of her Connecticut house here before, "Weatherstone". Love the symmetry, love the mellow stone!

A few of her autumn-colored vignettes--

Love this image below, so rich and deep! And he gave us a tour of the kitchen, and also praised his Nespresso coffee machine which he says makes wonderful coffee. And then he opens the door from the kitchen to his laundry room, gives us a brief glimpse of his laundry room and says "oh that's a mess let's not go there", closes the door and laughs. His laughter is contagious. (Kitchen segment starts around the 21:57 mark on his video).
