Houston Highrise...

Not really my cup of tea, but still nicely done for the most part. That said and while I like blue lacquer, decorators are becoming rather predictable with its use. I also find the living room wallpaper pretty bad and have never been a fan of most grass cloth or similar looks, which has also become rather predictable.

I really like this apartment--everything appeals to me especially the blues and greys with a pop of color----even that navy in the dining room----I love the kitchen cabinets too. Was never a big blue fan but I am now----love navy these days!

Not much here I like at all. The LR wallpaper is horrendous. I could probably live with the kitchen with some tweaking to add a little more color. BTW, what is up with the kitchen cabinets on the right hand side. It reminds me of Tetris which always gave me anxiety!!!

As always, @stevieb , I appreciate you (and Oznell, etc.) who post these. While most of these don't appeal to me, I still enjoy looking them over.

The color scheme is extremely depressing to me. Living there would be like day after day of cloudy, gloom. Not my cup of tea at all.

The wallpaper looks like puzzle pieces. I would pass.

Thank goodness there is something for everyone!

Always fun to look, though.....

Very pretty! I love the bedroom and the kitchen, although I would not have the heavy drapes in the bedroom. I don't care for the wallpaper in the living room, but like the Dining Room wall.

I’m not a fan of the wallpaper in the first photo. My eye can’t rest. Too much is going on. I do agree it is nicely done otherwise.

I love the kitchen. It has a modern flair. I like the clean sharp lines and no clutter.

It’s a beautiful home.

I agree with you; that said blue and orange is over used as well.

I find the kitchen less sterile than most with a nod to modern. The dining room is attractive but overly formal.

This one would not be quite my style preference. The public rooms have a lack of cohesion, and seem stuffy to me. The living room photo's wallpaper, not a good choice, seems to be fighting with the art and other elements. The second room's wallpaper panels seem ill-joined where they come together.

I don't care for the gray kitchen, and again, an ill-chosen (in my opinion), wallpaper in the bedroom. I'm not one to rule out any color, just because it was an over-used trend up till recently. In fact, a classic French gray is lovely, and has been used for centuries. But here, the gray and the gray undertones, are casting a pall. If you take away the wallpaper in the bedroom, and make a few color tweaks, I think it could be quite nice.

Edited to add-- I somehow skipped over the dining room! Again, to me it would be pretty, if there were a bit less going on. If you remove the mural, or wallpaper mural, it becomes more serene, and could be glamorous at night.

Normally am not a fan of mirrored or most glass furniture, but here the sideboard and the glass table help bring more light. On second look, I'm better disposed to the apartment. Just a few tweaks, removing the wallpapers, and having kitchen cabinets re-painted, and in my opinion, it could be a very nice urban perch.

The rugs in the apartment are the best part, they look soft, and I would keep them.

I really do not care much for this one. I really dislike the wall covering in the livingroom, but the rug is attractive....I have it in my office! LOL! The wall covering in the second photo sets my OCD on edge. The dining room is attractive but I got rid of a chandelier like that, what a pain to keep it shiny and beautiful, it's not my taste. Houston has no zoning laws, it's an interesting city.

Love the living room, except for the wallpaper; the kitchen is pretty but I'm not a fan of the gray. For some reason, the bedroom reminds me of a hotel room.

The dining room is my favorite, the beautiful navy and the chandelier. I love the wallpaper and the artwork. the only thing I would change is the table, a bit too much glass.

I don't care for this apartment as is.

I might find it more appealing without the wallpaper, the art and chandelier replaced, the glass top dining table and chairs replaced, the heavy drapes in the bedroom removed, and the Kitchen needs to be warmed up..it has a coldness that I don't find appealing.

I do like the wallpaper in the dining room.

I guess I would redecorate

Well this isn't my "cup of tea" so to speak. All wallpaper has to go but especially the livingroom and the kitchen cabinets are a no. I do like blue so don't mind the use of that color.

Appreciate you and Oznell posting these even if I don't particularly like what's shown, I still enjoy seeing them.

I can't find a thing in these rooms I like other than the rugs. I love blue, but not these blues, and the overall grayish mood of the place is just appealing at all.

Interesting. I don't like the wall coverings at all. I'm not an expert, but it seems like there's a mix of modern, traditional, and retro furnishings? I don't need every piece to match and be the same style, but it just looks a bit "off" to me. The bedroom & kitchen are my favorite rooms, but still not my preferred style.

@stevieb The only room I kind of can live with is the dining room. I love the curtains with their dreamy, drippy flowers cascading down. I also like retro glass and mirrored funiture a lot. Black lacquer would suit me better than the blue though.

The living room wallpaper is nuts!! It reminds me of minarets, the Seattle Space needle and phallic symbols. Waaay too busy.

Thanks for posting. Some homes are not a hit one outta the park for me and that's okay. I still love to check them out.

I think it's the light fixture in front making the cabinets look lower at the top. If you look at the ceiling line you can see the top of the cabinets. There are shorter ones above the sink which is normal.

@Queen of shop I was actually talking about the four upper cabinets to the left of the wine fridge. However, I should have updated my post because I figured it out later. At the top of the first two upper cabinets, there is a white horizontal bar that I thought was wall space. To me, it looked like some of those four cabinets were hung lower or higher than others and then the two in the middle were shorter at the bottom. I've since figured out that the horizontal white space I saw was part of the light fixture. I didn't even notice it the first several times I looked at that picture. Aye yi yi!!

But.....I didn't know what the wine fridge was either so thanks for that clarification. I was too focused on what I thought was the unevenness of the upper cabinets to really pay a whole lot of attention to the wine rack.
