very nicely done, except I don't care for the colors used in the kitchen-the lavender and the black and white floors, but other than that very well done!

It didn't explicitly say it was a row house, or vintage narrow town house, but the proportions, and the way the stairs are positioned, made me think of that. See if you think so.

The other fun thing is, in designer Michelle Gage's portfolio, the house is called, tongue in cheek, "The Crown Jewel of East Passyunk". Apparently, Passyunk is a neighborhood within the city. You Philly ladies or gents can fill us in. I love that name-- makes me think of Katmandu!

See what I mean about narrowness? Michelle Gage did a nice job with it. She loves color, so I like Michelle Gage.

Oooh, these rich textiles together, love.

I like that she turned this even smaller nook by the front window, into a welcoming table-and-chairs area below. If you look at the first picture of the living room, it looks like someone at one point created an enclosed vestibule (so welcome in winter time) on the left, leaving this narrowed space in the living room.

I'm going to show you a lavender, white and wood kitchen Michelle Gage did in another house. Not everyone goes for these lilac shades, but I find this very fresh, especially with the lovely, black-and-white stone tile floor, always a classic.

Also love those petal-like pendant lights, and the "scored" sink. I do like cafe curtains, but my criticism here is that you can't tell from a distance that there is a coordinating purple tone in them-- therefore, to me, they look just sort of "tawny", and therefore, unrelated to the rest of the colors--

This house is called "Gentleman's 1787 Farmhouse in New Jersey", so the cute chickens make sense. But see how, if you enlarge the picture below, it looks like the cafe curtains might have a purplish stripe in the tattersal pattern? Or purplish grayish?

If so, that would tie the curtains into the design, but it's not obvious enough, in my opinion.

Unless you're going for a more random, kooky "cottage-core" look, in which you'd want something to "throw the room off". But I usually don't like that look. I'd simply find different curtains.

Anyway, while I prefer a green or blue kitchen myself, it's rather refreshing, seeing a kitchen depart from the rigid color schemes of the last 10 years.

The decorator did a good job on the row house (I'm sure it is one) considering the difficult space with which she had to work. I see she added a couple of poofy ottomans for additional seating in the small space. Worst feature of row houses: No bathroom downstairs.

I like the lavender kitchen initially but wonder if it would "wear" well or would I soon tire of it. Those curtains don't do a thing for the pretty room.

It appears a bit narrow so it might be a row house. I like color, but I'm not crazy about her color choices and how she mixed them together. I don't care for the lavender cabinets and the black & white floor in the kitchen. In the first photo I like the cabinet with various wood tones and the built-ins.

I like many elements of this row house including the blue paint, fireplace, cool lamp and the plaid ottoman in the living room. I love the couch and would have let that be the end of the lavender. The drapes picking up one shade in the ottoman isn't enough in my view; the color stands out and not in a good way.

I love the dining room especially the chairs, vase and chandelier. The shades don't seem to go with the rest of the decor I fear.

The kitchen island, lighting, sink, floor and whimsical touches are lovely. A splash of lavender would have been nice but it's too much and the stove color a huge no. The curtains here are a miss as well.

Thank you @Oznell , overall this was quite pretty and interesting.

OMG, that purple kitchen would be a deal breaker for me. That and the purple range, with brass hardware. No.

I could live with the first room though. I'd have to take quite a few things out, but the color on the walls and the flooring is okay.

It reminds me of Baskin Robbins for some reason, especially with the flooring. I've been on Passyunk at least a hundred times. It runs from South Street to across the river. Most of my time has been spent around Gino's and Pat's on 9th St. We used to park near there, have cheesesteaks and walk to the Italian market. It was easier than looking for a closer place. Seems to be easier to get closer these days. I've heard the name of the street pronounced Passy-unk; Pass-yunk; and Pash-yunk. The third way is considered the correct way.

I like the wall color of the row house but it's just way too narrow for me. Would feel claustrophobic and cramped. The lilac color in the kitchen would be the first thing to go if I moved in there. It's awful.

To the best of my knowledge, any Philly rowhome built after 1972 or so, has a powder room on the first floor.

The kitchen seems too " frilly" with the lilac color and the kitchen light fixtures.. I do like everything else in the home; not a big fan of the shade/ shutter combo by the table and chairs. I would have chosen one instead of both together.

I have been in a few row homes in Philadelphia. And am surprised to see a fireplace in the middle of the living room. A row house has to have a firewall between each house. When there is a fireplace there has to larger indentation in the wall. Wonder where the fireplace is in the house next door.

Guess that is why the living room looks so narrow. With all that furniture I would have to weave around all the furniture to get around.

But really like the entrance way. You can take your boots off before entering the house, or wet coats. So maybe there would be a chance that the house would look reasonable after people went tromping through.
