Any Recommendations for Desk Chair?

We need a new desk chair--highly adjustable, nice and supportive, etc. Any recommendations? One very tall person and one short person will be using!

Look at Staples at their Temperpedic chairs. You will need to go to the store and see which style suits you best. When I used to work from home I needed a supportive chair. The construction of the seat is the most important part. Mine held up for 10 years.

@On It . I totally agree. DD, then SIL, purchased this chair for their respective home offices. I purchased from pre owned office furniture store in my Dallas area. The store had several from which to choose. Price was about 50% less than retail. Still pricey but long term investment. DH is happy after complaining for many years needing a better office chair with better back support and adjustable features.

This is the top of the line! Mesh back and seat, highly adjustable. They can also be bought used. Worth the price!

I paid a bunch for my office chair because I spent many hours in it each week (in excess of 60) and I have RA so adjustability and comfort is essential. Herman Millers Aeron was good for me. If I were in the market today I would consider the X-Chair.

@Sooner I just realized you wrote you needed a chair that is supportive to a tall AND a short person. I don't know that this is feasible. Even if you find one that can be adjusted to fit both, which I think is unlikely, all that adjusting will increase the likelihood of breakage.

As a short person, I find that chairs for tall people if used by short people will definitely require a foot rest, but will still have problems with the shape of the back, the shape of the seat and the location of the arm rests, which I assume you want. I went shopping for chairs for my staff and saw many, and we ended up allowing staff to choose among 3 sizes, because if working, they will spend a lot of time on that chair.

@NYCLatinaMe THANKS for the input! One thing that helps is I have very long legs. And I made out ok for 40 years with good generic office chairs, so there's something out there that will work for both. Just so many choices today.

I will say he couldn't fit in older model Corvettes and some small and mid sized SUV's becuase of his height. Pretty funny when one he couldn't get the door closed.

At work I got to choose chairs and had an old fighter pilot working for me who would "liberate" furniture from around the building if I wanted something new and say "Never ask me that" when I inquired about where in the building it came from! Glad it was a big building. . .
