Anyone own and recommend a Roomba?

I got one as a gift years ago when they first were sold. It was a just a picker upper. It didn't have a lot of power. I didn't like it. It got stuck many times and I'd have to reroute it. It finally broke after about a year. They may be much better since they are selling them again.

Bought a Roomba for MIL. I've seen it in action. Thought it would be better, more power. When I bought one, I went with Shark ION. Works great. Liked it so much that I now have 3. One on each level of my home.

We have one that we call Robbie. It does a great job on hardwood floors and our carpet. I use it more often than I would have used my regular vaccuum. I would definitely replace it if it broke down.

I have a Roborock E4. The new model is an E5. They are available from Amazon. If it died tomorrow, I would buy another one ASAP. Roborock has an active Facebook community, so if there are any questions or concerns, there are members there to help you immediately.

I also vote for the Roborock from Amazon. We have a Roomba too, but this does a better job- very strong!

We really like ours. It makes a quick round of the kitchen every night after supper. Sometimes it chases me around the kitchen. But I need the exercise.

Once I was kicking it around to sweep up something I'd just spilled and hubby said "Quit abusing the roomba!"

The roomba is great if someone calls to drop by, then we can pick up a little and it will sweep the hallway while we're stashing books and magazines and shoes!

I have one, bought it as a TSV on HSN over a year ago. It works well but I still have to watch it as it cleans because it sometimes gets stuck going over one area multiple times so I feel that I can just use my vacuum cleaner and be done with vacuuming much quicker. It's been plugged up and sitting for months now, I just use my vacuum cleaner and I'm done. .

I have a Roomba and there is no way I could get under a bed or other heavy pieces of furniture to vacuum so I like the fact the Roomba can get under those furniture items and get the dust bunnies 🐰 yes I would recommend....

I've had a Roomba for over 10 years. I love it! It's great for dog hair. Love that I can run it at any time I want, even when I'm sleeping! You still have to use your vacuum but I only run mine every two weeks. The Roomba keeps the house looking nice, saves me time and for me it's worth it. I have no idea why I didn't et on when I was working. I have wood floors, tile and carpet in the house, works well on all. I would not be without one!

@I have a Dyson cordless and must confess I'm less and less enthused about running it on a regular basis so I was thinking about getting some version of a Roomba.

I was curious why you still have to vacuum?

We LOVE our Roomba. We've had it for several years and never had a problem, aside from having to replace the battery once. It works GREAT on hard floors, but also does a good job on our carpeting.

I have an irobot roomba, bought for me, and I love it, does a great job.Bought at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I have a Roomba that I bought about 3 yrs ago. Haven't used it for about 2 of those yrs. It goes where it wants to and keeps going over the same spot. Gets stuck and won't go back to the port. Had to lift all curtains out of the way.

Got tired of "babysitting" it and went back to my vacuum.

We have it and haven't really used it for some time now. I got it primarily because we had a dog who shed a lot!...there was hair everywhere all the time.

So we put the Roomba in the dining room and my model knows how to avoid falling down steps (our family room is two steps down) and how to go over carpet & then hardwood & tile. Sometimes it would go into the powder room and get stuck behind the door. The newer models do even more.

However since I'm home a lot and retired with no kids or pets living here it's easy for me to just get out the upright and vacuum exactly where I need to go. The problem with my Roomba was that it would go its merry way randomly and missing spots.

My Roomba story.....When we had the dog who was getting older DH scheduled it to go on at a certain time each morning. Yes it took care of the dog hair but suddenly our dog had an accident (number 2) since she was older. She never had one before.

Well as you could imagine we came downstairs to an awful mess! It was spread all over and so disgusting! We had to roll up two area rugs and throw them out. Thank goodness we didn't have wall to wall at the time!

The Roomba was still in good condition so DH took it apart and cleaned, sanitized & deodorized each piece until it was like new.

Our dog passed away almost two years ago and so the Roomba sits in the dining room. I should probably try using it again.

I have a Shark that I purchased a few years ago. It's been great! My house has wood and vinyl tile flooring for the most part, except for the bedrooms which are carpeted. I run "Hazel" just about every day to keep the place tidy. I still use my upright vacuum on occasion because one of the bedroom's carpet is wearing down and needs more suction to perk it up. I take Hazel apart to clean the brush roller, wheels, spinning brushes, and sensors and she keeps performing. I've replaced the battery once. The app is handy. Occasionally Hazel will get stuck in an area and I have to rescue her but it's usually due to an uneven surface or the need to clean her components.

I'd buy another Shark if needed, but I hope my current Hazel lasts a long time. It's amazing how much dust and dirt she picks up, even though she's working daily!

My daughter bought me an irobot roomba for Christmas. I never wanted one.

With electric rates now at an all time high here in the Northeast, I find the roomba takes forever to run around my small one floor condo. I am also running around after it since it gets stuck under things more often than not.

I hate it.

My housekeeper does that every week so I don't worry about that but in-and-out traffic causes so much "sand-like" stuff on the floors that I got a Roomba and was not satisfied with it because it had to be rerouted. I am thiinking about getting another one. You have convinced me that I need one because over a week's time dust builds up from all the sand-like stuff.
