As always, love the windows inviting the woods/light into the room....a pantry is always welcome addition, and that huge sink, you can really get the job done! The stove integrates beautifully with the rest of the kitchen.

At least, I think it's in North or South Carolina! Am guessing, since the design firm Amber Interiors whimsically dubbed this project "Going to Carolina" in their portfolio. But it does look like it could be woodsy North Carolina, maybe Cashiers or Highlands or Asheville?

Just love the materials finishes and integrity of this kitchen. That sink, and the scored, integrated drainboard. All the stone and wood together in this room, just soothing.

And below, this is a glimpse into a butler's pantry (there's wine storage), or just a regular old pantry? What a neat adjunct to the kitchen!

What are your thoughts on interior glass walls or transoms? I think in this application they are great.

The whole house is a rustic dream....

The windows in this home are beautiful. The kitchen is nice but wouldn't be anything I would want for myself. I would love having this butler's pantry and the windowed doors and transom look windows at the top of the wall add a lot of character but I would tire of it easily

First I love light, and big windows, so this kitchen is a hit. I love the contrast of the white, and the wood. The hood above the stove, and the center island, along with the floors really adds a nice warmth to the white. The stove is a nice interruption as well, and it pairs well with the hardware.

There is a midcentury chair, wood in the kitchen which looks like a warm walnut and the copper fittings which were used in Europe as well as the Italian white marble from centuries ago. I think this is a timeless home. Let me live there in my next life with a butler and a cook who picks up our food items from the nearby green grocers.

I visited Berea college a few times when I found their kitchen was staffed with college students and a European chef in charge. Very nice restaurant. Very nice atmosphere. High-end dining. The food was delicious and students had tuition, room and board paid by work there. It was a very nice liberal arts school. Am I the only one who has heard of it? Apparently WSJ heard of it.

https://www.berea.edu/admissions/no-tuition/

Very interesting info on the colleges, @ECBG , and @Nonametoday !

I had not previously heard of Warren Wilson College, and had vaguely heard of Berea College.

You all got me curious, and I found, per Wiki, that, indeed, there was an entity called "Black Mountain College", and it was a force in the arts way beyond its tiny size.

Buckminster Fuller supervising the building of one of his geodesic domes there....

Black Mountain College attracted an incredible list of foremost names in art, music, architecture, choreography, dance, like Buckminster Fuller, Willem de Kooning, Merce Cunningham, John Cage.

Sadly, it closed in 1957, but remnants of it have morphed into a museum in Asheville.
