What a beautiful spot to relax @stevieb . I live in an area that has a lot of water. This reminds me of a place close to my house. There are benches to sit on, and a lot of people just walk there to sit and relax.

All kinds of boats go by from yachts to small two seater boats. Engines are humming, and the water is whooshing. I swear you can smell the suntan lotion on the sunbathers lounging on the boats.

@stevieb Someone would have to mow around me in the summer, sweep the leaves off me in the fall and shovel me out in the winter.

My fanny would not move from those chairs, ever.

@Patriot3 I believe this photograph was taken at the Greystone Inn that sits on Lake Toxaway in North Carolina.

Oh, serenity now! Living next to that lake would be one of my dreams come true.

I love looking at homes for sale and recently found a perfect place in Connecticut on the Mystic River. My actual non-dream home is a 50's tract house in the middle of a SW desert heat island! But tho not a dream come true, I am grateful, as in the Alina, Peace Love World sort of way.

I love the lakes and I really miss them. Haven't been to one in a few years. My grandparents had a lake college and my other set of grandparents rented one every summer so I have great memories, too.

This is a beautiful setting.
