Cake and Tea Anyone?

Incidentally. that delicious looking chocolate cake front and center is supposed to be among the favorites of both Queen Elizabeth and Prince William. It's called a chocolate biscuit cake and the recipe, if so desired, is widely available by Googling. The queen is also said to be partial to a lemon drizzle cake. Apparently, they both have quite a sweet tooth, to which I'm sure many of us can relate!

Mmmm-- and that layered sponge cake-looking concoction on the side looks so yummy also. How can you lose with fluted china, pink roses and a lovingly polished silver teapot too!

Wonderful !

A few yrs ago , I invited my sisters to my home for a spa day . I have an electric chair massager with various settings to customize your massage . I have the wax machine for feet or hands . We did each other's nail polish and makeup .

I served lunch , homemade chicken salad sm sandwiches with fennel & sliced almonds instead of celery . I had made some trifle with home made almond custard and red raspberries , I did use fancy silver serving pieces.

this picture with the special chocolate cake is prompting me to have another spa day with my siblings . I'll Google the recipe

So elegant! The china, roses, sterling silver teapot.

What a lovely setting. I think I would need to have a small sliver of everything - looks delicious!

This is my type of breakfast food!! 😍

This morn, I had tea and half a whoopie pie.
Tomorrow morn, I will have tea and the other half!

@aroc3435 , Thank you and you enjoy the weekend too. As for the recipe The Royal Chef site has the recipe for chocolate biscuit cake. I'd post the link but the site might explode, you know, worse than it already has...

I love the idea of a dessert set. Smaller, salad size plates with coordining coffee or teacups and dessert forks.

I have a set in Lenox for the holidays but nothing for year round use.

For those who would love a silver service or individual pieces, many go for a song on Etsy or eBay.
