I think the black and white photo is genius here. It gives the eye a nice place to rest. From what I can see of the room it has a nice flow.

This vignette is not unpleasant, but I can't really weigh in with such a limited view. The room and built ins look appealing, less so the photograpy as art. I don't care for the sofa pattern but don't detest it. The pillows have some appeal. At least this is a subtle nod to red, white and blue, not a color scheme I'd choose.

I was afraid it was going to scream Americana.....USA.....4th of July, but, thankfully, it doesn't. It's still not a color scheme I would use and I'm not overly fond of the fabrics and decor items. I'd love to own an all red sofa one day but probably never will.

The colors aren't as bold as I was thinking they might be (which is a good thing). I don't hate it, but I'd prefer a neutral sofa and wood table with those pillows. I don't like the black and white print or that lamp shade.

It is fascinating what a small slice of a room can convey, if it's the right slice! This is such a sophisticated, charming treatment, with a knowing attention to detail. And total agreement with you, @manny2 -- the juxtaposition with that dynamic black and white photo is genius!

Not even my color palette, but such a vibrant, engaging vignette.

I like the little niche next to the lamp. What a great idea to keep clutter down while still having items at one's fingertips.

From what I can see, I like the room and its colors. That certainly is a beautifully upholstered sofa and I love the colors in it. The whole color scheme is very unusual. I like the subdued black and white artwork. The walls don't need more going on.

I'd love to see more of the room.

I like the composition but would prefere it with different colors.

I don't care for red, and I'm not all that fond of blue either although there are shades of blue that I do love. I don't like red and blue together.

I like the upholstered bench/coffee table, and the stack of books atop it. I don't care for the artwork, but I do like that it is black and white.

I think this is one of those spaces that I will take another look at once my brain takes a break from it. (Sometimes I change my mind completely!!)

@Oznell @manny2 I agree with you both about the black and white photo. I find it striking with this particular decor.

Not my style, but I do like it! Using the upholstered bench as a coffee table is a nice idea. I can't do anything like that in my house, because it would be covered in cat hair! I'd love a velvet sofa, but it's a no for me for the same reason.

I am not a fan of different shades of red together. The sofa red is more like wine and the ottoman/ table is very bright red. They seem to class with each other...love the wall color and the big photo.

YES; not a fan of everything pictured, but I do like the colors. Red draws me in.
