Need Ideas Please - Bookends

I need to come up with 12+ bookends from things around the house and want them all to match. Any ideas on what I could do/use?

@ThinkingOutLoud Not sure what you have around the house and that you would have 12 of .... but some general ideas: vases with some weight, valerie round cyllinder things (not sure what you call them) but it could be any of them including mercury glass. figurines you have, maybe they won't match exactly but they could be part of a series, you could use books as bookends - lay a stack of them horizontally, ashtrays, decorative boxes, some crystal pieces.

As @moonandthestars mentioned, "stack some books horizontally" is a great idea for bookends. I have eleven bookcases and four library carts, and that's what I do.

I agree. Horizontal books look good and don't add another visual element.

Think nature. They then look like art objects too. Some rocks can be very nice. Have to be the right weight too.
