This young couple did a wonderful job. Of course I would have added a little color, not being a white-beige person and there are some items I would change.

Beautiful, "lacy" Victorian, @ECBG , with enviable porch and balcony. Love the framing effect of the white blossoms. Picture perfect!

The house is beautiful restored but just a bit bland for my taste. I think it would have been interesting to see what the couple spent restoring it.

Exterior if this old house is gorgeous but the interior still looks bland and unfinished. Perhaps they're still working on it? Good bones; it shows promise.

I believe the couple is about finished, although, a home like this will be a work in progress.

Not a fan of the current white-cream-black way of decorating.

What a beautiful house, love the style. Making it a functional home is so subjective. A home of this age usually has smaller individual rooms so I wonder if they did any major internal construction.

Obviously they put a lot of love and money into their choices so for them it's perfect. For me, not so much. Not a fan of so much white for myself. I may question designers choices but not decorating done by a home owner.

Check out the colors of the homes in Cape May, NJ which has the greatest concentration of Victorian houses.

Other than the occasional grand painted lady, I'm not overly fond of Victorian architecture, particularly the farmhouse vernacular. As for the decor, the only thing that spoke to me was the pretty stained glass window.

@ECBG - Thank you for posting this! My great-grandfather built a home like this, with bowed windows, after he came from England, and DH grew up in a Victorian (brick) farmhouse built in 1860. It's been in DH's family since the 1950's, and was a working dairy farm when he was growing up. His dad got out of the dairy farm business when DH, his only son, told him he did not want to be a dairy farmer! One of hIs sisters still lives there. She and her late husband were always improving it.

I could see my SIL being good friends with the young wife Stephanie! I can see her too putting in a shower herself! For a while years ago she was on a mission to stencil what she could, including furniture and toilet seats!

I love what this young couple has done! Their home looks great. There's a lot of grey. (My SIL went from primitive decorating to being crazy about Joanna Gaines.) If I could change anything, I would add some color to the dining room and maybe the kitchen. But then I like color!

You can tell this young couple loves their home!

This is a beautiful Victorian, but it needs color; inside and out.

Victorian houses were usually painted with several exterior paint

colors.

The antique furnishings are beautiful, but the rooms need color. I would love to see curtains on windows and rugs on the floors.

All the white, bare windows and floors just look cold to me.

My first house was an 1898 Victorian with only eight rooms.

Beautifully restored but for my personal taste it is just bland. There is nothing to warm it up and draw you in.

If anyone is interested in seeing a beautiful restored Victorian,

decorated in an authentic Victorian style, check out the Silas W. Robbins House In Wethersfield, CT online.

This place is a B+B, completely restored, which was featured in a Hallmark movie. While I could not imagine myself living in such a formal setting, it’s lovely to see.

Of course, the Mark Twain House In Hartford, is also amazing.

Not to be missed, if you find yourself “in my neck of the woods.”

Wow, where to begin! First of all.... the outside of this home is outstanding. Love the color, gingerbread trims, and landscaping. Love the verse above the stove which my mother often spoke of and I also refer to quite often.

That fireplace is beautiful. The way they did the "church chairs" instead of a "church pew" is unique. I also love that they left some of the old doors and hardwear. I could live here and be very happy!

I'm not a fan of Victorian homes but they did do a good job with the exterior. A touch more color would certainly help. I didn't care for the interior at all....mainly the lack of color. Most rooms looked bare and unfinished (as in decor) to me.
