YES! Hubby and I bought a LazyBoy sofa about 15 years ago, just got rid of it last year, it lasted beautifully!!!!! The only reason I got rid of it is because the foam inside finally got low. We probably could of just replaced the foam. The fabric was just like new. Now we do not have children but we have pets and allow them on the furniture and still it lasted great. A vacuum and spot cleaning when needed and it was good. In fact we donated it and the lady loves it!

I just bought my husband a new sofa for Father's Day - from Rooms To Go. It's a double recliner and a little pricy (not sure if that's what you're looking for). It's the most comfortable, well-built, sturdy piece of furniture we've ever purchased. Once you're in it, and recline, say goodnight. Let me know if you want more details. Oh, and by the way, I went to Ashley to compare prices, and their reclining sofas were about $300 more (and kinda' ugly).

We have had flexsteel and Smith Brothers, both good quality. I think choosing a sofa is the hardest thing in furniture to pick. Ranks right up there with mattress. It seems to be hard for me to find the style I want, with the fit and comfort I want. I don't like big, overstuffed sofas, and the more streamlined or elegant shapes, are often not very comfortable.

A great brand of sofas is Flexsteel. I had a trustworthy individual tell me years ago that they are made like no other sofas out there, are durable and last forever. I have owned two in my lifetime and everything he said was true. I got rid of them only because I was tired of them and changing styles. I'm kicking myself for not buying Flexsteel this time when we recently replaced two couches and bought a pit group. The fabric is already showing some wear and the cushions are sinking too much.

My parents had a Flexsteel sleeper and it was the most uncomfortable thing I ever tried to sleep on. All their guests complained about it. The store had a factory rep come out twice to try and fix it but it was still awful. They got rid of it not long after and got something more comfortable. Sofa beds are often very firm which makes them easy to get up from.

I bought a sofa, chair and ottoman from lazy boy 8 years ago. They've all held up well. Not sure I'd buy from them again, but it has nothing to do with the quality. When my furniture was delivered, two of the pieces were damaged. The delivery guys knew and put it in the living room, hoping I'd keep it and have it fixed. I refused delivery. The local store was so hard to deal with, I tried to cancel the order. I supposedly ordered a custom color, so they wouldn't let me cancel. Took a couple months for the replacement to show up.

And they have hundreds of choices for fabric and leather.

Flexsteel is another good brand. We redecorated our family room last year...chose a Flexsteel couch and a couple of La-Z-Boy rocker-recliners. We did have the couch cushions upgraded, for a little extra $$. Little did we know, at the time, that we were buying and expensive dog bed. He's on the couch more than anyone else in the house.

One of our sons recently moved into his own place. He loved our recliners and couldn't find anything that measured up. He ended up buying the same model, but in a different fabric.

I like the style of Ashley furniture but wondered about the quality as the prices are low and I read bad reviews.

When my Serta mattress failed after only 3 1/2 years and the mattress inspector came out to measure the sag, I asked him his opinion of furniture and the best places to buy it since he told me he inspects all kinds of furniture, not just beds.

He said Macy's and Lazy Boy were the best and had good customer service in the event of any problem.

He said Ashley was not good and very cheap and that brand was the one he sees with the most problems.

I bought a lazyboy sofabed last year and find it comfortable in every way. I also love flexsteel but could not find a store which carried it. I would have had to order it sight unseen. I didn't want to do that. If I had a choice side by side, I would go with flexsteel and the lazyboy a close second.

When the day comes that it's time to replace them I would buy exactly the same thing again. That sofa is the absolute most comfortable to nap on!
