Well, what I do love is the atrium with the plants. To me, the rooms are very bleak and stark.

@jubilant Thank you!!! These are much more my style than previous posts. Too much white!!! and a bit too stark but the 4th pix would work for me. At least no crazy colors or patterns!!!!

Too modern for me. Also, something I tend to notice when evaluating these photos we post is that, for me, some rooms are just too bright.

Bland, milk toast, no personality and very staged looking. I prefer texture, color and a more cozy, lived in vibe.

I like the clean line of the walls. No clutter very modern. What I don't like is the furniture. It's too hard, and severe. I guess I like modern meets cozy. I think you can have both.

I have been in homes that look like these pictures. They are stunning, but not made for comfort.

That furniture looks so uncomfortable, not something to slouch on to relax and watch TV. Then there's the getting up problem on sofas so low.

One if these days, someone is going to accidentally post pictures of rooms in "real houses" that I actually like.

I do see that they would be easy upkeep, which I'm far more interested in, than in my younger years.

@Kachina624 I'm finding it really hard to find pictures that might be more "middle class". Even recent remodels that are not way over the budget are fancy-wancy. If you go back a few years.... then the colors are called old-fashioned and out of style and many of them were popular just 2 yrs. ago??? I have decided to buy only what I really am drawn to and mix it in with about 3 different styles! Like you, whatever I buy, in furniture, it has to be comfortable.

Actually it's hard to find almost any style without white walls!
