Easter brunch

I am thinking of changing up the Easter meal this year.

I like the idea of a brunch board but....from the images I see, they contain hot foods - there is no way a pancake, waffle, etc will stay warm on a board. I am guessing the images are for looks only, right?

I do have a griddle that I could put the warm foods on, and use the board for fruit, etc.

Anyone do this? Tips would be helpful. thanks

Maybe a breakfast casserole would be easier to keep warm. In another life, I had a recipe I loved with eggs and cheese and meat and more (bread I think and seasonings). I could put a it together the night before which would make the morning open for salad and vegggies and fruits and dips and whatever else you want.

There are predone waffles they could be using on their boards and offering heated syrup or doing a dessert waffle.

If you're offering brunch for a large group and serving buffet style, you might also consider buying one of those disposable chafing dishes w/ sterno to keep your foods warm. You could use the boards w/ muffins, quiches slices, sliced loaf cakes, croissants, fresh fruit, etc.

Have fun.

If you have a hotel- style flip wafflemakers, you could set up a waffle station and let everyone make their own. Put toppings on a tray and guests can make them to their liking. The waffle bar was always a hit when we have overnight guests....but it would be great as part of a brunch at Easter.

I'd warm up a spiral cut ham and have rolls and biscuits and jellies to go with it. It would be served hot then cool to room temp as the brunch goes on. Put it on a meat board and tongs to get the ham.

An electric skillet full of scrambled eggs or an egg casserole would be nice as well, or a dish of hard boiled eggs cut in half with a cream sauce over (a la Jacques Pepin) for people to spoon up.

Fruit, some small cookies, juices in pitchers and call it a day! Maybe a pasta or green salad.

Last Easter....we ate at home and didn't even get to go to church since DH had Covid. This year I think I will see if a restaurant is doing a good takeout Easter brunch meal and pick it up after church...and take the rest of the day off. Will do the Easter baskets for the little grands whenever they are interested and see them. Easter is really late this year, so hopefully the weather will be warm and beautiful.
