I love the bones of the room and the lighting fixtures, light, and view. Furnishings are acceptable, but this room has so much potential.

Like the room, BUT: the edging on the sofa seems too formal while the room isn't formal. The side table and 'coffee table' have to go, along with those lighting fixtures, and pictures.

It just seems disjointed...too many things not going together, imo.

Despite the little hits of color, and the exotic pillow covers, I find the room cold; doesn't "hang together" for me. Too many repeating, large, grid-like shapes is one possible reason.

I love the room. I would change the throw pillows, coffee table, and add some leafy green plants to add warmth.

The oval cut-out through the wall above the interior doorframe gives a peek to a different room (perhaps a second-story). That feature above the doorframe is interesting and unusual (or maybe it is common for a particular architectural style?).

Maybe it is unintentional, but the outdoor awning adds a nice touch to the indoor atmosphere; almost like a valance.

@stevieb Love the room! But I think the furniture placement is all wrong. Nothing is facing where it should imo. You can't see outside from the sofa (is it a sectional?), and the fireplace is to it's back. It also seems like there's a weird flow from that doorway in the back. I would replace light fixtures too. I'd move that coffee table somewhere else unless it miraculously goes with the new items/placement. I do like it .... for somewhere.

I'm not feeling much of anything of this living room but I love the ceiling, those windows and the view. It would be a complete overhaul for me (decor wise). I also don't care for the placement of the furniture....at least from this angle.

I love the space and windows, but I'm not loving the furnishings and accessories. I don't like the small oval window; it looks odd & unnecessary to me.

I would get rid of those hideous pillows, chandeliers, and that knee-

whacker of a coffee table. Don't like the trim on the sofa skirt either. The mud-colored sofa needs to be a lighter color to brighten up the room.

I don't think the "transition" quite makes it. Maybe different and more pillows, side table, and replacing the black and white pictures might do it for me as there are elements I do like.
