Furnace on or off?

today is Nov 2,and I still have not turned on my furnace.my family and friends think I'm nuts m because it has been getting down in the 30 s at night.im in illinios.i actually sleep better when it is cool.

SE Michigan, furnace on and set to 67. Brick house and it keeps to heat pretty well.

Mine is certainly on although it's not running much (north NJ). I keep it set at 65 and for now it is comfortable.

Both, yesterday it was 66, so not on, but put on today,when i got up.

We're in the Appalachian mountains and have had some mornings at 34 degrees. Our furnace is on. I'm very cold natured and Shadow, our American Bulldog is on the floor vent!

I have mine turned on all the time. The thermostat was set to 68, but then I was shivering a bit, so I upped it to 72, and I'm much happier. We've finally dipped into the thirties here nights and should have our first hard frost soon. It's a bit late this year, but that's okay. On sunny days the heater doesn't run at all but we've had lots of clouds and dampness and it's been doing its job.

Mine has been on since Oct. 22 and is set at 70.

Mine has been on and off here for the past two weeks or so. The weather is just crazy. Hot one day and then freezing at night. One neighbor had the AC going the other day! I had my furnace come on a few days later.

Mine has been on for about a week, but only on low 60's. We had a lot of rain, and the cold , damp got uncomfortable.

Mine is set to 74 and I run my Dyson heater off and on. I live in MI and one whole wall of my apartment is made of windows. There has been no sun and it makes a huge difference in the temp in here.

We turned ours on October 23rd. Same in the northeast, nights are getting very chilly and there has been a lot of rainy damp days. We have it set on 67 so it keeps it comfortable but not stuffy.

We live in CT. I overheard somebody yesterday saying that she hasn't turned the heat on yet. Ours has been on and set to 72 since late September. It goes on and off as needed.

I don't mind cool but not cold. It was in the 30's in the morning in IL so I turned the furnace on to take the chill out.

Ours has been off and on for a couple weeks. It is at 72, a couple times I moved it up to 73 just so it would come on. I hate to be cold. In the summer the air is set at 74 and in winter heat set at 74

On alternating with a/c for last month. We keep the house pretty much at 72.

Just turned it on around 4am when I woke up freezing. Upstairs room temp was 60 so I turned on the heat pump up there. I'm working from home today and went downstairs and it was 62, so on went that heat pump. So it's on for the season and if it warms up, it won't come on. Hurry back thick, hazy, hot, humid, scorching 98 degree days. I miss you!

I don't have mine on yet either @Luvsmyfam , but I think I might have to put it on. When I woke up this morning it was a chilly 63 in my house. I sleep better when it's cool too, so I will probably hold off and then put it on in the morning just to break the chill. My house stays comfortable without the heat during the day. It stays around 68 until it really gets cold.

Mine is on when the apartment gets cold but don't run it at night or when I'm gone. Such a tiny place so it heats up fast.

A few times early in the morning for half an hour or so just to get the chill off.

I wish my kitchen cabinets, the ones that are on an outside wall had a heater. The dishes and cups get soooo cold starting around this time of year. If I forget to take my coffee mug out before I go to bed I have to run hot water in it before pouring my hot coffee in it so it stays hot. (my coffee maker is set to go off at 4:30am)

I haven't turned my heat on, but if I need to take the chill out I can always turn my little Duraflame heater on.......
