Great Mountain Cabin. I would change the window shade color to something lighter to brighten up the space.

Sitting on that sofa with the fire crackling and looking at the snow falling outside through the window....Winter Wonderland Beauty!

This is something I would love to own. I'm not a beach gal but certainly love the mountains. In my younger years, four couples (friends) each year would divide the cost of renting a ski chalet in the Catskill Mountains from early October to the end of March. Some of the best memories were shared there; skiing, decorating a Christmas tree that we all picked out together and cut down, enjoying the snow and friendship that we still retain today.

Beautiful! Love the use and pattern of the Roman shade, even informal drapes wouldn't work here.

@stevieb Very cozy but I would change out those chairs. I don't like the style (don't look comfy to me) and I only like fabric covered furniture.

I never found leather furniture cozy. It's always cold to me. Love the cabin.

It's not exactly my style, but boy that space is inviting. The window, the fire it's so cozy I love it!

I am too, especially back here in the woods with 5 x 3 ft windows.

We can't see the rest of the house, I'll wager there are big windows everywhere with those surroundings.

@Oznell Agree. The chimney is so nice. Believe me, I'm not all in on the decor itself. The room does read dark and I'm not much of a fan of all that black appearing leather furniture, but there is a cozy and comfortable feeling about the space, making one feel they'd be protected from the elements.

This could have been my parent's house. Corner FP but with big round rocks and wider, similar mantle, window in same place with same kind of shades. The walls make your picture room very dark.

I do like the cozy rustic cabin, EXCEPT a leather couch would be cold in the winter....so I would replace it with a fabric couch

My late best friend and family lived in a log cabin complete with a stone fireplace and pecky cypress walls, a loft and huge living room. Everyone who walked in that home complimented. There was enough light coming in from the windows at the front and side. This area reminds me of that log cabin which I loved and spent much time there. I always felt so comfortable and seeing this look brought me back to that log cabin.

The only thing I would change is the furniture.........don't like leather furniture.
