topic Ripping up a ceramic tile floor in Home

there is an issue with how the kitchen floor was installed in my kitchen so the builder has agreed to take it up and replace it. I have never had a ceramic tile floor removed but I'm expecting it to be a huge mess. The builder has also agreed to have the entire house professionally cleaned when it is done because of the dust issues. Does anyone have any suggestions about anything we can do to help keep the mess at bay? We went to Home Depot today and bought 4 plastic drop clothes to drape over our LR furniture and the china cabinet and entertainment center. Our house is open concept so there are no walls between the kitchen and the living/dining rooms. I plan to close all the bedroom doors and put towels around the bottoms to try and at least keep them clean. I am so dissappointed this has to be and Honestly, I think the builder should do more than just fix the problem - I feel we should be compensated for the extreme inconvience this will cause. For one thing they told us 3 days before we can use the kitchen - so that will be 9 meals out in a restaurant, and we can not be in the house at all on Monday when they are tearing up the floor.DH went today and bought several AC filters because the floor man said there will be so much dust that several filters will get clogged, and they will need to be changed every day for 3 to 4 days. I would greatly appreciate any advice from anyone who has been through this.
