We are having our kitchen redone and I know the floor will be the last thing….I'm assuming paint will go on before cabinets.

We did floors first, hardwood under the cabinets. In case we want to change anything floors cover entire kitchen.

Paint, cabinets, tile. The kitchen has been repainted 100x LOL! I get bored.

I am nearing the end of my kitchen remodel. Always paint first, then cabinets, and flooring last. If you ever want to change the floor, the cabinets would have to be removed. I always put the floors in last, for that reason, and you wouldn't want any damage done to the floors, and believe me, workers are careless.

It is very difficult to get paint off of anything once it dries, and no matter how careful one is, there are always accidents.

Nowadays, contractors say to put the floor down then the cabinets and baseboards, but it makes no sense to me, and it wasn't done that way in the rest of the house, or in any house I have lived in.

Demo old kitchen...get rid of cabinets...install new lighting in ceiling...paint...floors...new cabinets...counters...backsplash...touch up paint if needed.

This is what the contractors did in my kitchen.

Start with painting and then go for counters for your kitchen, sinks and then flooring. There are also many ideas for kitchen remodeling that you can check at omicron and thus plan your kitchen work.

I'd probably paint first, even given there will be touch-ups, to avoid paint spills on new floors and cabinets.

We did our kitchen ourselves and I can tell you that not painting before the floors and cabinets go in is a huge mistake! I know, I made it! I'd rather touch up the places that might need it afterwards than worry about painting once the new things are in.
