I am about to have to purchase a new Fridge. I was just wondering if anyone has had or know any information about the Samsung or Kitchen Aid? Does anyone have any recommendations on what is a good brand to buy?

I have a KitchenAid French door refrigerator.

I am very happy with it...I love the deli tray, it is perfect for fitting a large pizza box!

For a large fridge, it is also energy efficient. My electric bills went down $12/mo. after we replaced our older, SMALLER model.

The Kenmore that was here when we bought the house in 2001 is a side by side with only ice on the door. Go figure. We decided we will replace it with one that has filtered water on the door. Not sure about the French door models with the freezer below. Might be OK, might not. I guess we will cross that bridge when we come to it. Good luck researching what you need.

I did buy another one from her....and wish I hadn't now. I sold the other one finally. But this one doesn't seem to keep things as cold as I like on the doors. I've had margarine go bad. I do love the bottom freezer but we will see how long this stays "working".

Anyone else notice with the double doors its not as cold? I also don't like the bottom drawer in fridge it should of been two since you have open both doors to get into it.

My old GE was much faster. This Samsung is very quiet though and in a very open floor plan, that is a big, big plus!

I really loved the french door KitchenAid frig but it was just too small for my needs. I ended up getting a rather large french door Samsung for my newly built cottage and its awesome! I love it so much better than my side-by-side LG that I have at home. My son just moved into a home he just purchased and he got an LG side-by-side and its made rather flimsy. Not the best workmanship.

When we lived in pa we had a fridge with the freezer on the bottom. It was great. You only go into the freezer once or twice a day - and the part of the fridge you use over and over is more convenient. I have a side by side now - I really miss my old fridge. If i had the budget for it i would love to have a french door fridge with a freezer on the bottom but they are expensive to the extreme.

Until I had the freezer on the bottom I would have never thought about it much. I can't tell you how convenient it is to have the refrig at eye and arm level. I have a built in Sub-Zero (older model) and love it. It's pricey but they last and last and can be repaired.

Think about what you put in your fridge and freezer and the sizes of those items. Not all refrigs have the same width on the shelving or door space. My husband loves his pickles so I need door space that can hold those jars.

I recently purchased a Samsung washer and dryer and was pleased with the quality. That would be one that I would check out if I could not have The Sub Zero. Note: not all stores offer the free take away of the old appliance. This is something that surprised me when I replaced our dishwasher three months ago. It's one of those unexpected expenses that throws off your budget.

Hope this helps.

We got a French door, freezer on bottom a little over a year ago and I will never have another french door, stainless steel one again, not enough room in the frig part for us plus we often rip our skin on one of the doors we are both very thin skinned (age) Love the freezer on the bottom however. I wish mine would croak so I could go back to the one with a single door (well not really, can't afford it)

We have a Samsung French door. I have never loved a fridge so much. LOL

I have Samsung washer and dryer too.

We moved in January, and I took my fridge and washer and dryer. I was not going to leave those behind. They were not that old.

Samsung 4-door French door, with icemaker and water. I love that thing. Because it's four doors, I have the fridge on top, plus a drawer-type fridge for bakery cakes, wine, soda, or something like that. It's 35 CF, so I have room for everything. Even with some of our big dinners, I have yet to run out of fridge space.

The bottom freezer is divided into two bins with one larger drawer on top of the freezer.

It's a wonderful fridge for us.
