@jubilant I'm sure I would have prefered the 'before' dark & drab original version before the makeover. I don't like white whatsoever.

I really like the sitting room, the dining room, and that pretty sideboard! Also the coffered ceilings. I love when they give the paint names that they used- "Dimity" by Farrow and Ball. It looks great in those rooms. The larger expanses looked a little too "echo-ey" for me, but over all, very pretty.

"New England Home" often has choice goodies, thanks for posting, @jubilant .

@proudlyfromNJ @DREAMON Sorry, I could not find any before pictures either. I did try. In the article (under the picture I posted) the designer describes why the new owner of this home wanted something that was lighter and brighter.

It's nice and airy, although maybe too much white for me. I like white, but not so much of it. It is definitely nice spaces though.

I generally like the soft and light colors. A bit too much white in a few rooms. I'm not a fan of all the furnishings or the floral prints, but it looks airy, relaxing, and pretty.

I too would have liked to see the before. However, the pictures showing the renovations are pretty and appealing. I like it but I would add decor to warm up the feel of the rooms. Love the New England area.

Meh... Hard to tell much from the pictures and without seeing the original... To me, looks like the designer took what was probably a traditional home with a certain amount of character and went cookie cutter with it. Not saying this look is bad but it's somewhat predictable and nothing special.

I love a white kitchen so airy and light. The home is very traditional/contemporary which is a nice mixture.

This home is really lovely. The colors used make for a happy, cheery, open & comfy atmosphere. I didn't read the story behind it though. Thank you for sharing.
