Sure beats those spiral staircases, on which I'd probably kill myself..... or a ladder.

I really like it. It fits into the modern look and it is a lot safer than a spiral staircase.

It looks pretty nifty but I guess I'm not sure how they work or how they are taken out of the wood part.

Clever! They are sturdy and have handrails. This unique design is the best I've seen so far for a loft.

There is a rail that runs along the top of the wall. The stairs have wheels attached at the top that sit on & roll along the rail. It probably also has wheels on the bottom that would roll along the floor as you pull the stairs out from the shelf unit. It's a very similar idea to how barn doors operate.

I love the modern look of it, especially when it's tucked away. However, it's still just a ladder and I wouldn't feel comfortable using it unless I was much younger

I hate ladders so I would never see that loft.

It serves a purpose for this space, and the fact that it tucks away is cool, but it still looks too much like a ladder to me. I don't care for industrial style looks so I wouldn't want it in my home.
