My New Quilt

I had points that equal money in my charge account so I decided to put them to good use toward a new quilt for my bed. The color is chambray that is a very pale baby blue. I never buy the shams any more because in the past I never used them.

It looks like a coverlet not a quilt, unless quilting is not visable.

I think the word quilt has a different meaning to everyone, it's a bed covering.

Love the color, texture and purpose and best of all it was "free".

@Mistreatedbycs @Kachina624 Blame it on Pottery Barn. This is a contemporary quilt. Not all quilts are patchwork, etc.

More and more people use the word quilt to imply something other than a full bedspread. Our fashion terminology for linens and clothing overall seems a bit blurred from decades past.

I have looked at this quilt before but just haven't pulled the trigger. It's beautiful and I love the color.

@moonandthestars I bought it at Pottery Barn. I had some money I accumulated from rewards/credit card so I applied that and paid out the rest. There are 4 colors offered. I can't wait to received i.

Very pretty! Looks so fresh and soothing for a summer bed.

I have an ivory quilt that is similar. I have to get it out this weekend and run it through the wash.

Well, talk about disappointed. I open the box and here is a medium blue and not the ice blue color on their website. Needless to say, it is going back and I already selected another quilt. I selected a different quilt with a color called blue frost and asked the design team online what color the new quilt was. OMG! Then as I am scrolling thru the quilts I see a few in chambray and the color is a medium blue. PB probably took the picture of the original quilt I purchased with very bright lights and lots of natural light. This better work out. This called pick stitch and it is cotton/linen.
