best down pillow question

MANY years ago- QVC sold DOWN PILLOWS- They always showed a film how they were washed in a giant machine and they were the best pillows in the world! I think they were a hotel brand pillow- but I don't know which- DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THOSE PILLOWS? And are they available somewhere??? They were the best ever. I just can't seem to find any bed pillows that are comfortable for my old bones now!! They say they are side sleepers or back sleeps or stomach sleepers-- WHO STAYS IN ONE PLACE ALL NIGHT LONG???? I need an side/back sometime stomach sleeper pillow like the Q used to sell!!!

Are you talking about NN that was made by Pacific Coast Feather?

They used hyper clean technology which washed the down like 3x? I had a down on top featherbed I loved.

They have their own website.

I bought a mattress pad from them maybe 2 yrs ago? Nice quality.

They still sell Northern Nights pillows here on QVC if they are the same ones.

years ago I bought a down mattress topper from northern nights. It was amazing, and the best quality ever. The new ones have the down only on the top, and are not reversible. They also got lower ratings. It seems like everything has gone downhill. Recently, I was searching for the perfect down pillow; medium fill. It took three stores, and five pillows later, and I finally found a decent one at Bed, Bath & Beyond....Nestwell. I wasn't going to try the northern lights from the queue, only because the return postage is just too much.

I am in need of an excellent pillow. I have My Pillow and I have been getting neck pain and the pillow flattens out. Where can I purchase a really excellent pillow? Suggestions Please.

I had purchased some Northern Nights down pillows from qvc a few years ago and it had the Pacific Coast label. I have since replaced them with pillows from Pacific Coast with no regrets. I would purchase from them again.

I've been looking at Pacific Coast bedding for months. These comments prompted me to go there and they are having a 'flash' sale on pillows. 65% off.

I don't know how often they do this nor how long the sale lasts but I'm grabbing a couple.

@Bridgegal : Costco sells Pacific Coast pillows/comforters and they are fabulous....I've had mine for years and years.

Scandia down pillows are a godsend for DH and me. They are pricey sometimes on sale. We got the firm after we smashed a medium too fast. We love them they are not like a brick, the customer service representative explained they just Have a goodie and no I love you tons. An abundance of feathers in them. After 2 years now they still fluff up and have support. Good luck in your quest for pillows it is a learning experience. Oh, I forgot cuddledown also has some nice pillows too.

Update:

I got an email from them tonight saying they oversold the pillow and basically not to count on getting it. I'm really disappointed but there's nothing anyone can do about it.

@sipp @I order from the supplier of the down pillows you refer to. The pillows are not as great as they used to be because costs have gone up. I still order the all down soft and medium pillows from Pacific Coast or Pacific Coadt Down. They might feel flatter when you remove from the packaging but they puff up soon. Their casing is great. Does not all w any poke through and feels cool to the hand. They also sell pillow covers. The pillows last around three years these days. This company was the provider of down pillows for many hotels. Don't expect the extreme quality of yore but you can expect to have your neck aches go away in a few days. They are not as full as in the past. I order two at a time. Prices are reasonable. They are nicely packed in their own zippered bags. I'll be ordering again in August.

INHO, Scandina Down is very over priced.

@Bridgegal UPS delivered my pillows yesterday and I couldn't be happier! I bought a pair of the gusseted down surround pillows in medium firm, really nice weight. Not so heavy you can't flip or scrunch them during the night.

The packaging does say hyperclean and the attached tag says the contents are sterile.

I did call their CS about another product and they said inventory is low on some items due to strong demand.

Wait for a flash sale & stalk prices for a good deal.

@sipp Try The Company website. Their down pillows I looked at are all guaranteed for life. Read the reviews.

@sipp Check out The Company Store. I purchased a down pillow and a cooling mattress pad/topper. Their annual sale may still be going on but not sure. Great savings. The pillow I purchased had 4 different firmness. Since I am a back sleeper, medium was suggested for me.

I have my original featherbed from NN with the eurofeathers from a million years ago preserved in an allergy cover. I have wanted to replace it forever but never found one I liked.

FWIW, My pillow arrived and I love it.
