Nothing "little" about the hood!

What do you think of the mixing of materials, metals, and colors in this space?

LOVE the color and style of that oven.

I also love black, white and red together!

I would have less of the SS banding on the hood. My eye goes right to the hood. It should accent the kitchen and stove not be the main feature.

I always seem to have a problem, personally, with very insistent, repeating geometric patterns, like that tile. I like to ease into the morning, and would quickly find the tile pattern to be both tiresome, and too demanding on the eye. It almost seems to be vibrating!

Do not care for the charmless, long, rectangular block of the hood.

Here's the funny thing-- normally, I like brass mixed with steel, but not the way they did it here. Also don't mind little touches of red, but again, this is too much for me.

The one thing I do like is the polished black stone of the counter. I'd take that beauty, and try to start over in the kitchen!

I have stated many times that I am not a fan of red. So I try to picture this kitchen with another color option that I would like, and there isn't one. I would however like this range in black (with a black hood-- which would still probably be too big for my liking) and a completely different tile backsplash. Like @Oznell that geometic pattern would give me a headache every morning.

Adding: When I say "color option" I mean something other than a neutral.

I love red but personally think the hood is too much even for me, but to each their own. I use red as an accent color (like my red smeg toaster) in my kitchen.

Red is one of my least favorite colors so it is not for me.

The hood is enormous and the backsplash is not a design I would ever choose.

That being said ..a stainless range and hood (different hood) with a solid white backsplash would make this kitchen very appealing to me.

The owner obviously loves red so it is perfect for that person..just not me.

Red, my favorite color...this, a very pleasing shade. Yep, I can live with dark reds, burgundy, and I do. The stove is unique and beautiful and yes to the tile. Very classy.

To answer your questions.

I think mixing silver, gold, brass, and steel work well together; however, it depends on how it's used. Looks fine here.

Using tile, a metal stove, granite or some kind of stone, wood, and what I'm assuming is a faux wood floor, is rather common in kitchens, so I think it's fine.

Red and white would be too much. I think adding black stabilizes the color scheme making it more palatable.

Nice kitchen, but wouldn't choose it for my house. I'd like a more traditionally styled exhaust fan above the stove. No white cabinets and don't think the floor color was a good choice.

I like the use of bold color in the kitchen. Not enough color lately with white cupboards, white counters, etc.

Glad to know I am not the only one who thought it looked like a Circus Tent, A Popcorn Cart at the Fair, .....or the Canvas Awning our neighbors had on their house in the 1960's.
