I thought the bed was a great design. Now you can walk up the stairs to your bed on top.

The stairs are better & safer than a ladder IMO. That being said, I've never been a fan of bunk beds even when I was a child. I do not want to sleep that high up in the air, & I don't want a bed over me. I guess if you had more kids than space, it solves that problem.

@Katcat1 I did buy bunk beds, with a trundle bed, similar to that. I have 5 grandson & I have to put them somewhere!

The dog & I were the only ones to really sleep there. They want quilt beds on my bedroom floor.

My bunkbeds do have taller steps that are drawers & I love that.

That looks like two double (full) beds. Can you imagine what a pain it would be to change the linens? You'd probably almost kill yourself, be exhausted and it would take most of the day.

@Kachina624 Something about the whole thing looks a little "off" to me......did you notice the nick-nacks on the steps? And, you're right....changing that bed from the top of the foot end would be next to impossible.........

The bed is unique and the design is much better than a ladder, but really a WHITE rug and WHITE chair in a kid's room I dont think that's practical at all.... the room just looks a bit unfinished in it's design....

One of my sons had that back in the 1970s but at the end, there was a mirrored door that opened where he could hang his little clothes (He was 10 then). There was also a niche with a small desk and a ladder that was used there to climb up to the top bunk. There was no bottom bunk but drawers that pulled out for under garments and such.

Am not a fan of bunk beds . Luckily have always lived in a big enough house to have two twin beds in my child's room when she was young and had a cousin sleep over.

That is an interesting design. I like it but agree with others how difficult it would be to change the sheets. I would need a ladder just to do that! I hate making a bed when you have to be on it at the same time, like against a wall or something. Gone are the old fashioned bunks we had as kids, they were an adventure at times.

I prefer twin beds, I am not a fan of bunk beds for the most part. I do love the decor and touches around the room. The giraffe looking out the window is adorable!!!!

The bedroom looks large enough to have two twin beds which would have been my preference. It's a cute room for a boy though but I would prefer the bedding to match. I LOVE the giraffe. It's my favorite animal!!!
