I think that's a cool idea if it matches your surrounding area. I would remove that clock from the wall though as it blocks part of the scenery.

@LindaSal I think that is not a clock in the foyer but one of those humidity barometer things. My parents had a smaller version in their living room.

Anyway, I like this hallway. We have a huge entrance hallway just inside the front door that's so large it's truly the size of a room in itself.

I like entries that tell a story of what's to come, so it's neat that they have a mural that seems very fitting with the interior we can glimpse beyond.

The particular arrangement of furniture and lamps seems a little stiff, and not living up to the drama of the mural, but the general idea of a furnished foyer is great, when space allows.

I absolutely love the mural, the rug, and the furniture and accessories on the left side of the entry. Not a fan of the furniture on the right side- I would look for something else. The brightness and spaciousness is so uplifting! 😊

I like the mural on the wall and the wood flooring.

I wouldn't put the clock/barometer on the wall covering the mural and I don't think the furniture and rug compliment the mural at all.

I don't like the colors together or the style of the furniture.

To me the furniture is ugly and I would have a used a more peach/pink and navy very traditional Oriental run and peach accents rather than red--which is jarring in this setting to me.

The mural is OK, but the furniture looks like "where can we put these pieces that were down in the basement?" I'm still a "form follows function" person, and that chair would become a place to sit while you're waiting for someone to get out of the bathroom. Or to take a phone call where you need some privacy.

Yes I would do "something" like that with my own touches of course. We all have our own preferences when it comes to decorating, no right/wrong just what pleases us.

It's okay, but I think that the rug and the small, dark decor pieces clash badly with the light tones and and easy style of the mural.

I do like the look of that stately grandfather clock off in the distance, though!

It's an appealing space but the mural colors don't much coordinate with the large rug nor, from what we can see, with the colors of the adjacent room. The mural is somewhat appealing, but I'd have opted for a different subject and truer colors.

I don't care for murals at all. I'd take a Schumacher wallpaper over that scenery any day.

It's a pretty space. I like the ambiance of table lamp lighting from dusk on. I'd pick different lamps, perhaps a pair. The ones they have don't compliment each other.

Although the rug goes well with the furniture tones, I'm not wild about it. I'd pick something entirely different, but a print for sure.

Definitely! I love the look and the rug is lovely as is the furniture. It is a soft calm look which welcomes, a big yes for me.

I'm not a fan of this because of the way the mural turned out. The middle section above the door does not seem to flow from the mural on the left. And he mural on the right appears to flow from the one on the far left, but not the one in the middle. Maybe that's nit-picky, but it just doesn't match up to me. And then there's that lone, straight back chair! Perhaps an upholstered bench would soften that area! Anything but that chair!

The mural is pretty but I doubt I'd do it personally. I do like the hall, it's nicely done & welcoming.

I'm not fond of the mural as it is done in softer, pastel colors. Then all the furnishings (which appear to be a hodge podge) are all darker, bolder colors which don't coordinate well together with the mural.

I don't care for the walls at all. I do like the rug, crown molding and barometer. If I had a foyer that big, I would decorate it differently. The tables and chair look "lonely".
