I don't need to, you did it for me!

Love the combo of colors & furnishings. But, I think I'd need to add a few other pops of color to break up all the blues (my favorite color); perhaps pale yellow, coral, etc. After I make a few changes, I'll nap on the hammock.

I don’t care for the color on the walls & I don’t care for the furniture except for the hammock ... the other furniture just doesn’t look “beach-ie” to me ⛱🏖

It appears you have the ideal job that you love doing. I could use some lessons in creating my ideal "beach cottage" style home .. that's "pet friendly."

DH & I still want new living room furniture but all I see is our large black lab sneaking to sleep on the sofa, keep wrecking the recliner, & our 2 cats clawing their way up on my recliners in the sunroom to jump to their cat towers. Oh, well, so goes life in our "pet run" home.

Happy to help.

I use a couch cover for our big American Bulldog. You can also cover chairs. I "open" the uhlpolstered pieces for company.

On another note, we'll have to use a gate around the Christmas tree. I don't know about cats, lol! Maybe water guns?

I prefer Cosy Craft couches and chairs since they're SO

comfortable.

The beach house looks so relaxing! @ECBG I just took a look at the Christmas pictures. I could get comfortable really fast in your home. Mixing antiques with newer pieces is something I love to see.

This is an unusually pretty beach house that I like because it's tastefully done without a plethora of shells, rope and plastic crabs. I'm not a fan of anything having to do with the ocean, being a mountain girl. With a few minor alterations, I could make it contemporary Southwestern.

So funny about the plastic crabs! Kills me when an ocean front home worth millions has a Dollar Tree sign that says *BEACH .... THIS WAY =====>>>*. Really?

My homes are walking distance to the shoreline, but the only things I have to show for it are pieces of driftwood that I use for doorstops and sea glass that I collected. Shells are kept in garden.

I love mountains, too, but the thought of being land locked is suffocating.

@ECBG I love this room! The only thing that I would change would be that one chair as it does not look like is belongs in this room. It just looks too formal, but it does look like it has some type of padding on the back to make it more comfortable.

@ECBG The outer banks of north carolina. Been only a few times years ago, as it is a bit far for me to go. Usually go to oak island, north myrtle, Bald head island, been to Nags head a couple of times and Savanna, GA. If we ever get thru this pandamic husband and I want to go to the low country of south carolina for about a month. He was a marine recruit at Paris island at the age of 17 many years ago. I really want to get back to the outer banks around corolla sometime.Natural scenery is what I like, Hopefully one day i will be able to get back to the mountains again in the fall season. I remeber talking to you about living there.

@ECBG There is a tourism commercial that airs in my are for the outerbanks. It says I can hear the outerbanks calling, they abbreviated it as OBX.

I like much of the decor in the Hamptons because it is coastal in its airy appearance but not kitschy.

But you did a fine job of decorating this one, ECBG. I might not like everything about it but I do love the airiness. Glad you told us that you were an interior designer. I had no idea you attended the school of architecture/interior design. That is not unusual, however, for someone who majors in architecture/interior design to extend oneself into jewelry/fashion design or cooking. It seems it all works together.

I love it..so peaceful and inviting. If you have some sand on your feet from a day at the beach you can sweep it right out the door.

Love everything about this room.
