Attic Bathroom

What do you think of this bathroom?

I think they made good use of the space, but it's not my style.

All the metal gives it a "cold" look. I prefer more warmth & comfort in my rooms. I don't need feminine details, but the space looks very masculine. I don't like seeing exposed pipes and plumbing either.

The wall color is nice, but I don't like the mix of the brown window treatment with the grey ceiling beams. The floor is pretty but looks cold. Maybe a rug would warm up the whole space? Or maybe a bit of greenery or colorful accessories would help? I'd definitely need a shower. Maybe there's a shower, but it's not pictured?

@wilma Not the worst but not for me. AND I must have a shower! I don't want a tub with a handheld shower thingy (that's a technical term!).

I think it needs some color, maybe a colorful rug and some colorful towels, plus I need a shower!!!!

If you have a small older home and need a 2nd or 3rd full bath, than yes where ever you can fit it in. Atleast there's a big window !

I'm a senior citizen, so there's no way I could get in and out of a tub like that. (I think of that every time I see the free-standing tubs that seem to be so popular these days). Beyond that, it looks a tad "industrial" to me.

It's a great use of unused space. I would have added just a touch more color and ditched the bathtub for a shower (in a reconfiguration of space obviously).

There are some things I do like, but agree with the poster who said it looks like a bathroom in a psych ward. The vanities look like those old hospital carts you see in old photos, or in abandoned hospitals. And, where is the toliet?

I would have a commode instead of two sinks and would have a shower with a built in bench for sitting (senior citizen). But the bathroom is nice for young people.

That tub is an accident waiting to happen.

While they are pretty to look at, like you, I cannot imagine climbing in and out, and I'm in pretty good shape.

I owned an old house that had that roof line. Short of spending a major amount of money to create a third floor in it - assuming an engineer would have approved doing that - I think they made excellent use of their space.

Colors are very personal - I like that there is lots of white, somthat adding color would be easy to do.

As for that shower- I am guessing but in my house, the master would have been one floor down and so would the main bathroom. Maybe room for a small office or a good reading room in the rest of that attic.

Old houses have their own romance for those of us who love them, but they also come with lots of the limitations of their era.

Under the eaves, I'd have gone in a different direction but while I don't love it, I do like it. Like many, I do hope there's a shower hiding in there somewhere.

I like it. It reminds me of the bathrooms in Europe, especially Greece. The tub has a shower wand and there is no need to add a seperate shower plus, the sloping roof would prevent one from being installed unless you ditched the window. A shower stall cannot be installed against the sloping ceiling, and who would want one in the middle of the room?

I don't see this as taking the place of a master bath, unless the rest of the attic is being used as a small apartment.

Sometimes,what you want and like is not possible because of structural limitations. I think the owners did a great job in the space they had to work with.

It is simple and easy to clean. A lot of textiles, rugs, shower and window curtains, etc. would need to be carried down stairs to be cleaned and carried back up. Way too much fuss and work.

It IS a great use of space! However, it is very blah looking! No pizazz at all. Needs a lot of color. Some pretty color on the wall -- maybe a mint color or yellow?? A pretty little rug or 2! I don't like the pipes showing under the sinks, although I gather that this is probably what they are going for --- a clean industrial look. I'd actually put some cloth skirting around both in a pretty print to match whatever wall color I chose!
