Or "Scotia-philes". Probably a lot of you are familiar with charming, low-key Nick Fairford. His videos are great fun, his little discourses on English tea sandwiches, antiques, etc. Also recommend his video tour of his own very traditional, Edinburgh flat, if you love classic British style.

But here, for a nice twist, he's leading a tour of the lovely house of his friend and neighbor, who he only identifies as "Tracey". She's an American, who used to have a country house in Scotland, but has "downsized" (ha) and now lives in Edinburgh. Pretty house! Especially if you are a maximalist:

The kitchen is incredible, but I might like her wild guest room the best of all-- that soft green paper, with improbable black print (and I normally don't esp. like wallpaper). She even has coordinated her ceramics in that room to the wall color-- she has classic green celadon pots on mantel, etc. And the mirror is stunning!

I found it a relaxing watch.

Such a cute, lovely, down to earth, lady.

What I like best about her decor...it is her, not an interior decorator's version.

She appears to be one of those thoughtful decorators who picks up pieces she loves along the way throughout her travels making them lifelong acquisitions. Those special pieces not frequently found in local stores.

Even the way she is dressed is a reflection of her taste in decor.

I love everything about this home! The only problem is that I would have a problem with the stairs. Her colors are amazing and all of the elements are arranged so beautifully. I love her style in clothing also. Her jewelry and her watch are all my taste.

@Oznell Wow! That home is gorgeous. I don't know what I enjoyed seeing the most. I loved the mushroom wallpaper in the bar area. I also loved that she had so many dog figures and dog art. I liked that we got a glimpse of her dog.

The kitchen is just amazing, too. Everything is. I liked that she brought furniture with her and didn't just buy all new for this home.

Gorgeous home ..the kitchen is my favorite room followed by the foyer.

It is too cluttered for me personally and the art does not appeal to me but it is her personal taste and I love that about it.

Elegance and class ! I love most of the decor especially the exquisite table with the white flowers and I want the lamp of the woman on top of it!!!!! The round pink room is so appealing, the wall art, the stunning couch, chairs. I even like the guest room although I am not sure about the wall paper. The kitchen is a delight and I am happy to see a table and chairs by the window. There are so many lovely decor pieces and all in all it is for me!!!!!!

Glad some people found this as fun as I did! I had the same thought, @gtx , those stairs would be a bit of a hurdle for me, the way my knees are going. Stairs are the least favorite element of my house too, sigh.

Those narrow-ish Edinburgh town houses probably bristle with staircases though, since they are so "vertical" with many floors, to make up for lack of "horizontal" space....

She has a lot of interesting pieces, but her style is not mine. I enjoyed looking at all her items both large & small, but I couldn’t live with all the clutter. I like the dark furniture in the guest bedroom but not the wallpaper. I like the foyer & kitchen best.
