I am not crazy about the floor, but I could live with it.

#2. Needs some upper cabinets.

I love them and could move into either one very comfortably. We're having a cottage built this spring and as much as I love kitchens, I'm a little overwhelmed with all the decisions I'll have to make. I love seeing examples. Thank you for posting.

Jubilant - reminded me of sitting with my grandmother in her NC kitchen - near Saluda. I've had cottage decor on my mind this morning as well. Must be the peaceful look. Thanks for sharing.

I've been studying lighting possibilities, hoping 2021 is the year I can do some electrical updating. In #1 I like the recessed lighting plus the pendant over the sink. But I would also need undermount lighting over the countertop.

Both very nice.

Just a perfect size for one or a couple. Like it.

I would change the color of the faucet and sink light. Not a fan of those two shelves either.

Lovely, warm and inviting, these two kitchens are very appealing to me and i would take either one! As I have said many times, I am not an island fan but do like a dining table and chairs in a kitchen, these are a big yes for me!!!!!!!

@jeanlake These kitchens reminded me of my grandmother's kitchen, too. She lived in a farmhouse in Indiana and I always found that kitchen so sunny and cheerful. Of course, the fact that she was the "greatest cook in the world" didn't hurt either!

I like #1 except for the open shelving. #2 looks old to me. Maybe the curtains, lack of upper shelves, the sink and the green checkered tablecloth.

I could see these in a garage apartment or a small beach house. I never cared for the style of this time, but they are nicely designed.
