Stool-bench in the Kitchen

I haven't seen this before in kitchen design.

What do you think of the idea of a counter height stool for two or counter height bench?

I'd sit in the middle and not allow anyone else on it. It's a personal space thing.

looks nice but when you need to clean the floor,not so much, they look heavy

Benches are okay until someone has to get up that's sitting in the middle.

@lolakimono, One person on bench. Need room to relax and enjoy. LOL I could live with these benches. Our center island is to wide. Takes to much space. Print on wall? Not so sure. Will remember you tomorrow. Stay safe. We are having terrible storms inAl. . Will continue all day. BE CAREFUL on roads. Everyone will be in a hurry today. Please give my greetings to LTT1. This is a great idea! I like it for safety reasons. Especially if you have children. I have never thought those stools to be safe for children.

I like it. 2 people to a bench would be perfect. An alternative to stools.

To me it looks like the pix is over the sink and the cooking top is in the island.

I like the way it looks, but I don't think it would be practical. It's pretty big for one person to pull up to the counter. Once someone's settled into place, it would be kind of awkward for another person to get up there.

I really like the idea. I have a tendency to do some tasks at the island (sorting recipes, flipping through mail/magazine) and I think it would be much more comfy than sitting on a stool.

Since the kitchen is where we tend to congregate, it has a inviting look.

@lolakimono @cactusgal I don't really like the bench idea...Too much shuffling around if someone in the middle wants out. The thing that bothers me the most is the picture. Who wants someone staring at you while you are eating. Just weird.

Is that Marilyn Manson in that picture? I really like this. It's really different. Boy now I'm thinking of getting one bench for my counter! I don't have room for two. That is a big counter.
