AUSTRALIAN PROPERTY RESTORED, "ROSEDALE FARM"

Ha, ha, just kidding-- this is a broken down shed on the farm property, and even it will get a restoration of sorts. Promise you, the house itself is in better shape.

Here's the house while the work was still in progress. It's called "Rosedale Farm", and it's owned by an Australian design guy I like, Steve Cordony. Typically, his work tends to be a mixture of vintage and modern, and he did a sensitive job on this project.

It is actually a working farm. I gather he also offers a limited "bed and breakfast" type capacity, in at least one part of the property. The house did need quite a bit of work but what great bones.

Study, before.

Study, after. I find this so handsome-- gilt mirror, vintage rug, perfect lamp, tailored chandelier, cane chairs, textured wall treatment.

No detail is too small. This combo mud room-laundry, to me has charisma, which belies its sturdy, utilitarian function.

Typical deluxe, 'glammed-up' Harper's Bazaar photo, but this sitting room combines comfort, airiness and interest for me. The lush greenery is what to me gives the Australian spin... And of course, the Australians are as enamored of black and white in design as the designers here. I do like the white in this treatment, as this "farm house" was gloomy and almost a bit foreboding before.

The dining room is reminiscent of an old Irish manor house...

Here he took a newish, more modern Waterford crystal vase and did a pretty vignette in the dining room. Love that china, and the touch of old brass on table--

More of his Waterford flower arrangements, this time in a low vase or bowl, in sitting room.

I love an old, battered gateleg table!

Bathroom.

Glorious kitchen. Herringbone wood floors are a dream.

Even New South Wales, Australia, gets a touch of frost on a winter morning!

So many details speak to me from this project! The crown is lovely and wallpaper mural in the dining room is so interesting. That herringbone floor is striking and really makes a statement.

The mud/laundry room is stunning.......love the mirrors

What a beautiful old home! I’d love to have something like this with some land.

I like some of the individual pieces, but his decorating style isn’t the same as mine. Still, it looks very nice. I don’t like the black & white kitchen & bath.

This is my favorite room...

This is lovely. I too really like his style.

I am not wallpaper/mural lover at all but I really like this beautiful well decorated home.

Each room is interesting and pleasing to the eye..love it.

My favorite room is the dining room because I love dining rooms and the chandelier is stunning! In general the house is very appealing in many ways but there are changes I would make to suit my taste. I would add color for one.

Nice house, nicely renovated. Certainly, some appealing element. Though handsome, the overall finished decor seems a bit flat, being another mostly neutral interior. I love that old gateleg table.

I like this very much. I love the mirrors in the bathroom and over the fireplace. I also love the gateleg table. My mother had a couple of beautiful antique gateleg tables. My sister has one, and my niece has the other one.

Be still my heart. There is something unpredictable about this yet so familiar. I'm not good at describing it but, to me, it has all the right vibes. Almost like there's something for everyone and yet it all coordinates. No cookie cutter looks here!!

Just stunning the transformation. I really don't like the wallpaper, the floor in the mud room is beautiful. All in all it's a gorgeous home.

Those mirrors were one of several elements that highly attracted me as well, @Irish1210 and @NickNack -- nothing like a good mirror!
