Except for the overly pretentious window treatments, it's a very pleasant, comfortable, attractive room.

This is a lovely, inviting room. I would, however, change a couple things:

I would change the artwork to something less modern
I like sheers under the drapes ~ the Roman shade is very nice but I think the sheers would lighten up the room.
I prefer a heavier legged coffee table ~ something a bit more substantial : )

I just noticed: is that a fake animal head mounted next to the art print? That's gotta go.

I would not have that color wall behind the fireplace and would keep the drapes but change the pattern to something nicer. I would get rid of the coffee table and replace the wall painting with a landscape. I do like the room but I would change some things.

The only thing I really like is the window treatment. I also like the art, too, but maybe not in that room.

I had a home with coved ceilings and the same kind of trim as this room. I'd have it again in a heartbeat. The older homes like that were built so well.

Not totally my style. I do love the color of the couch. The pillows are very nice. The fireplace is beautiful. That's about it for me.

I would change several things in this room---

1. Change the window treatments to something in a solid color.

2. Replace the artwork & antlers on the wall with something more traditional

3. I would also change the color of the fabric on that beige chair....

Other than the fireplace wall, there's nothing really special about it, but I do think it's an appealing room. It reads traditional to me. Despite a few more modern elements, I wouldn't even label it as transitional, though I suppose that label could fit as well.

It's too traditional for me. I like traditional, but this seems old fashioned. I do like the painting and the roman shades, but would prefer the roman shades without the banding. As someone else mentioned, the pleated lampshades are very dated, and I don't like the lamps at all. The seating all looks very comfortable. (I hate to be so negative about a post.)

I could easily live with this room with a few minor changes. I don't care for the mirror above the fireplace. The print on the drapes is a tad too busy for me. I might consider the print in the pillow on the chair in front of them. The coffee table would look better if it matched the wood of the fireplace.

The more I look at this room, the drapes look a bit 'heavy'. Maybe in a lighter color of print.

Otherwise, again, I like the painiting.
