Strange Staircase Wall

The only things appealing to me in this photo are the dogs.

I realize it’s just an add for a product, but it’s really strange looking & unattractive to me.

I think the various metal hands in different gestures are creepy. I don’t like the painted orange shapes either. The ceiling light is not my style. The rug, bench, and pillows are ok, but they’re not items I would choose.

What do you think?

I don't like anything about this space from the bare bulb light fixture to the dogs.

What wasted space! I would have cut out under the stairwell for a lovely bookcase or something! I have the same set up and this is where we put our wet bar. It's terrific!!

The dogs look like they should have a message bubble over their heads saying "Get Me Out Of Here".

I would redecorate the entire space.
