As a woman living alone now I have the luxury of making my "boudoir" totally me and I don't care what anyone else thinks about it. It's my private space and while friends and family have access to the rest of my home, unless invited, it's keep out! I have always felt bedrooms are private spaces.

It has an appealing funky factor that I kind of like. However, I really don't care for that extended window treatment on the bed wall.

There are no pieces in the Boudoir that I like individually much less piled on top of one another in the same room.

I'm not really wild about it, but not because of things like the style of the furnishings or clutter issues. It's more that it just looks like a disjointed hodgepodge to me. Nothing ties anything together.

I know, I know, it's dated to have a lot of matching or coordinating things. I get that. But to me the entire room would look a lot better if say, the three big pillows on the bed were the same fabric or same color fabric as that window shade type covering on the window. Then there would be repetition of that color and some repetition of the light steel blue fabric touches.

That's my main complaint with today's styles in decorating. Everything is a mish-mash. Too much eclectic, if that is possible. It confuses my old brain, I guess, and gives me a headache.

Mixed feelings about this room, I do love the love seat in front of the bed, not crazy about the head board. Also I would have a different wall color, as it is it looks drab. There are some things I would change to perk the room up a bit.

@mspatmac I think you've got the right idea... The more I looked at this picture the better I liked the room and one of the reasons why is because the space is completely personal. The owner obviously did exactly what she wanted to do without bowing to trends... Rather, it's her room...

I also like many of the elements, but there do seem to be a lot of larger seating pieces for a bedroom and the blue fuzzy pillow on the otherwise pretty love seat needs to go... With a few other tweaks (different bed-side lamps being one...) I'd make, I like the room... Of course, we aren't seeing all of it, but I would hope there would be some good storage pieces...

NO. All the mixed pillows on the bed I do not care for. The window covering is a completely different color than bedding. Poorly decorated. Strange taste.

The room is too cluttered and the style doesnt seem to flow and coordinate well---too much of a mish/mash.....looks unpolished
