My shower is 2 yrs. old. Where the wall tile meets the bottom tile, it is getting kind of an orange film. I am afraid to use an abrasive tool like even a toothbrush or a harsh chemical thinking it might take off the silicone sealer where the 2 kinds of tiles meet. I regularly use a squeegee on the walls, but have ignored the bottom part. How do you clean your showers where the wall meets the floor tile? Do I need to reseal with silicone after cleaning?

I use a Clorox Bleach Pen. It whitens the silicone and the grout. The pen has gel in it and it sticks and clings to wherever you put it. Then I leave it on over night and rinse it off the next day. Everything looks new again.

Soak some paper towels with a calcium, lime and rust removed and let set for about 10 minutes. You can lightly scrubbed with a nylon scrubbing pad and it should not harm your silicone. That stuff is actually pretty tough.

Orange film in a shower usually means hard water stains. Google that and you will get different ways to clean that problem. If the film is more of a pink color that is soap scum. I always get that and use original soft scrub on the tile.

@Kachina624 I just wanted to say that I love Clean Shower (is that the same as Fresh Shower? I don't have the bottle anymore), but all of the sudden I had a hard time finding it, even on Amazon. Living with the humidity in FL you really need to use something, and Clean Shower has saved me a lot of work .

In the meantime I did find some Clorox daily shower and really like it too - so if you ever have a problem finding an after shower spray you might try this stuff. It works really well.

Now when I can't find either of these I will really be in trouble!

Edited to add - the picture below is the Clean Shower I usually used.
Ugh I feel your pain. The problem you're describing MAY be moisture is getting behind the silicone bead where the wall and floor meets. No amount of cleaners are going to fix that you may be due to have the silicone replaced.
The only permanent solution is to have the grout replaced with an epoxy grout. Then there will be no silicone used n the shower at the joints.
