Magnets for an oozing PBJ sandwich or a Sloppy Joe! Maybe meatballs and spaghetti with extra sauce will help seal the deal of full regret. If I had that kitchen or visited someone who did, I'd stand at the sink to eat!

Treated or not, those are quite impractical, even if comfortable. There are probably upholstered kitchen stools, even with backs, that are a lot less vulnerable.

Not fond of the stools, but I do love that creamy off-white, @stevieb , that they used on walls and cabinets!

I always prefer a regular table and real chairs to stools, so this appeals to me.

To me, these are counter chairs. Stools don't have backs (in my mind anyway.) However I agree that counter chairs are preferable because they have backs; and the ones pictured here look very comfortable.

The entire kitchen, while pretty, is far too bland for me, personally. The counter stools do look more comfortable than most but, as has already been mentioned, would get dirty pretty quickly.

I really like this room and the counter chairs.

I love it as is but we had off white treated fabric on our dining room chairs a few years ago and it didn't work.

They were stained after a few months of entertaining and were a real pain to keep clean so we got rid of them...never again.

The chairs do look comfortable, but even treated chairs like this will get dirty. Most of my padded ivory dining chairs that were treated have spots and stains now.

The kitchen itself needs more color. The dark floor is gorgeous. I don’t mind white cabinets, but a darker backsplash would help break up the white. That change with darker chair fabric would better suit my taste.

This is a very appealing open area. Normally I do not care for islands and the high chairs which never look comfortable. However, these chairs look comfortable, I agree.

That is morphing into a dining table.

I would rather have a smaller, working island and some sitting, like a sofa and chairs, in the kitchen. You just know that is where everyone ends up.

I would love counter chairs that were comfy. Mine are wood and I don’t like sitting in them. I’m on the fence if I could keep them clean. Tempting though

@faeriemoon I think the main reason I deemed them comfortable is exactly what you're saying. They're chairs on stilts and not the typical stools, often with no backs, that are good for seating for about fifteen minutes tops...

@QVCkitty1 I completely agree on the table and chairs preference... What I don't much get are kitchens like this one that appear to have both... Who needs counter seating when there appears to be a breakfast area over by the window? That said, this looks to be a large kitchen space, so they pretty clearly had room to spare and if you're going to have counter seating as they opted to do, then why not make it comfy!! I like it too... It's attractive and functional...
