I stumbled upon Londoner Paula Sutton's country house, and was enchanted. Apparently her field was high fashion, but she obviously cherishes classic English style, and this is the evidence:

No doubt she got those from her own garden, sigh.

Tea is such a time-honored ritual...

These bedrooms are so dreamy-- I'm sensing pink is a favorite color!

Even the waning and dripping luncheon candles are pale pink...

Even though her house is rather large and stately, she's created the perfect, 'Beatrix Potter-like' English cottage feeling. Love it!

So beautiful!!! There is nothing I don't like. As you can tell I am NOT a minimalist so this is perfect for me. I do appreciate all styles for others but comfortable, warm and welcoming is for me.

Very pretty. The foyer & dining room are my favorite indoor spaces. The dining table and chairs are beautiful. I also like the last photo of the outdoor space. Love the dog! 🥰

Almost all of the paint choices are wonderful off whites.

I am in love! I've always dreamed of living in an English cottage like this. It's just perfect. I love homes with charm and personality, and a sense of history.

For the folks just setting up a house, it takes time to build a collection that looks like this, and that is what all the fun is about.

She obviously has good taste, but it also looks like she has a house that has taken years and years for her to collect all the beautiful things that she has.

That's mostly missing from "designer rooms" and that is "personality from years of collecting. "

It's a nice home but not my style. I love the round table but dislike the chairs surrounding it. The dog is adorable.

I like the historical nature of it but it seems a bit cold to me for some reason.

Maybe it's that typical English weather as it seems quite overcast. Just the feeling I got, but I do agree she has lovely collectables.

Anyone here watch 'Escape to the Country' on DABL TV?

Beautiful homes for sale in the UK and surrounding areas. Love those homes. Most of them have lasted for hundreds of years, and have been wonderfully remodeled.

Love to learn about the countryside, and various rural family owned industries/companies/ventures/farming, agriculture, etc., etc.

These are re-run episodes and the prices aren't recent.

Absolutely gorgeous! The only thing I would add would be flower boxes outside all the windows teaming with gorgeous flowing flowers like they have in Europe. I think that would add a lot of charm and color to the outside. Right now, it looks a little cold and bare.
