I don't know if anyone has posted already, but I found battery operated LED light strands at Dollar Tree. It's ten or so lights on a strand with a battery pack that takes two AA batteries. They had white, red, and gold when I found them. I bought white and gold. The gold I plan on using now in my Fall and Halloween decorating and the white for Christmas and the rest of the year when I need a strand of lights. I don't know how long the batteries will last, I just bought inexpensive ones from Dollar Tree.
