Lovely but all I can see is the drapes...they would have to be replaced with a very pale solid color for me personally.

Beautiful! I would probably dress the windows differently, but surprisingly, I don't hate the curtains they have chosen.

@spiderw You love Colonial. You would love Colonial Traditions magazine at the grocery store.

You would love to see Thomas Jefferson's Montecello. Most major designs came into being in this time.

You would also love the background in Gone With The Wind.

Thanks for the tips! I did see Monticello many years ago and was impressed.

I love Victorian and French also, I favor the styles and designs.which are fromal and elegant but may not be as practical as others would prefer

I love Victorian (which has 3 style periods), and all of the French furniture. When I was young, and about to get married, I was on the lookout for an antique Queen Anne set. I always loved the club foot. I don't think DH would have like the cabriole leg of Louis XV, the country style of which became French Provential.

@spiderw Also tonight I plan to watch an episode of The Buccaneers on you tube. Similar to Downton, you go through time with 4 or 5 girls in their late teens visiting England. You'll be in private castles with the furniture mentioned in how it really was in private castles. I LOVE the story and occasionally rewatch this mini series of only 5 or 6 episodes. You'll also see authentic clothing from that time.

Our dining room chairs look very similar to these. Our cushions are ivory. I find these chairs very comfortable to sit at while eating.

Since remodeling our kitchen and knocking out half of the wall between our kitchen & dining room, we use our formal dining table & chairs every day. It was such a waste for the room to go unused except at Christmas when family came over.
