Yes. I was in the middle of updating our wet bar with new countertops. Had already removed the bar sink, had the area measured for new granite, and was ready to schedule a visit to the stoneyard to view slabs. There is money on the table just sitting there, but I have to wait until things open up again.

In the meantime, I can proceed with painting the front porch ceiling but don't look forward to getting up on a ladder...

Are there any home projects that you intended to do but are delaying due to this virus?

My husband and I were planning to build a small gazebo over our hot tub during the next couple of months. With everything that is going on and the inability to get many of the necessary products we are postponing it for now.

It's a disappointment but when I think of what is happening to so many other people it really is just a small inconvenience.

I expect that this summer is going to be very different from most summers. I know we aren't planning to do as much gardening and my containers will not have as many flowers as previous years.

We are staying out of the big box stores and garden centers. Our governor has continued the stay at home order until May 2nd. Even after it is lifted I won't feel comfortable immediately heading into the stores.

I tell my husband as long as we both get through this difficult time without getting sick the rest of it is just not that important.

We were scheduled to have some work done in several rooms...painting and ceilings redone....we are waiting because we don’t want strangers in and out of the house right now. The Home Depot has their garden center doors locked. They required you to go into the store and walk through the store all the way out to the garden center. Isn’t the whole idea to avoid being around as many people as possible? Makes no sense at all to me. Walmart has done the same thing. Smh

Yes! We bought 2 new bathroom vanities and sinks to re do our two upstairs bathrooms.
And a new faucet for the kitchen. Then the virus hit and we just have them sitting here, one in the dining room and one in our spare bedroom!

We just decided to wait until this virus comes under control, and we will then choose tile, etc.

I have spent my time removing 3 layers of wallpaper from the master bathroom. That was the easy part! Once the paper was down, there was drywall repair to be made and kilz to be applied before I could start painting. I have some ongoing health issues along with back issues, so I'd work a day and have to rest a day. Thank goodness I finished yesterday! There are some smaller projects that I hope to finish soon, but the master bath redo was the biggie!

Finishing touches on basement will need to wait -- new flooring and expanding our storage space.

Updating our deck and space under the deck. We can stand under our deck and are going to close it up with walls and barn doors and make a potting shed under steps. Hubs wants to get going on that but not if we have to make several trips to hardware store. It will need to wait.

We are working on landscaping - without plants.

We have a list of spring maintenance jobs that won't be getting done, because we don't have the materials like mulch, paint, etc. Nothing is more important than our health, so we will just have un-mulched beds and "really need to be painted" garage door awhile longer. Like someone said, if we can get through this without either one of us getting sick, what a blessing incomplete home improvement projects will be!

We haven’t put down new mulch yet either.

Even though our home stores are open with limited customers & hours, we have seen pictures on the news of people in lines waiting outside to get in. I understand people want something to do while they’re at home, but we are not going anywhere like that. The grocery & pharmacy are risky enough for us.

We are do it yourselvers and had already started the remodel. Our local in-town hardware store is open.

Before the restrictions on the number of customers are allowed in the stores, our Home Depots looked like a Saturday.

Now the store has implemented restrictions on how many customers are allowed inside.

Everyone has a home project.

I had a HUGE 3 month total kitchen remodel project that just finished 2 days before Christmas Day(I was project manager to save some money which probably added some time because I'm ocd about any project I hire someone to do to be done right and not half you know what)! lol Plus had my own sources for demolition, electric work & plaster repair (old home) where they charged 1/4 what I would have paid to someone else.

2 other rooms I would like to get the original hardwood floors refinished, but that needs to wait till I start working again (currently unemployed due to all this) & feel more comfortable financially.

Luckily I bought paint etc. to do a spare bedroom before the world got crazy. Also purchased new blinds. So I have that to keep me occupied. Hardwood floor was refinished in that room the end of last year, so it just needs me to finish painting walls, ceiling and trim & moving furniture & partial rug in once done! Even have accessories I sourced from what I have elsewhere or had bought a long time ago. So good news that project will cost me zero! (well will need closet doors & curtains, but that can wait!)
