The space is very nice however I prefer a nice comfy chair that I can curl up in for reading. If a more structured hair, the ones shown are perfect.

This wouldn't be for me....when I'm reading, I want a sofa or chair/ottoman and a comfy throw.

A comfy overstuffed chair, loveseat, or sofa in front of a window would be my choice for this room.

The chairs look totally uncomfortable to me but I do love the blue color .

I agree with everyone who said that the room looks great, but that the chairs need to be far more comfy. I also would prefer a chair to stretch out in, along with a comfy throw.

Looks good but where is the Lazy Boy Chair ? Those chairs pictured look too stiff for people over the age of 50.

Anywhere there are shelves of books is for me. However, I too, would prefer two nice comfortable chairs or a chaise lounge!

Very pretty to look at although the chairs do indeed appear uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time.

The room itself is ok but I need a much more comfortable chair for reading! The blue is pretty though.

I need a chair that reclines and has armrests. I would not enjoy reading in that space.

Reminds me of the color palette in my parents' home library with the dark wood, leather bound books, and blue fabrics and porcelain. Last summer my dad wanted more blue and white flower pots similar to the ones in the OP's photo, and I went to several places looking for some that could go outdoors, but couldn't find any. They have a wall of French doors in the library leading to a patio and he plans to put the pots out there on the patio. He wants some larger blue/white pots with drainage holes in the bottom. Everything I saw was terra cotta, plastic/foam, or meant for indoors with no drainage holes. Please let me know if any of you know where I can find some to buy for this year.

@wildcat fan The availability of blue and white planters seems to ebb and flow, but I do know that larger, well stocked garden centers almost always have a supply of various size pots for both indoor and outdoor usage. I suspect one might not find much at places like Home Depot or Lowe's but a true garden center that specializes in gardening and only gardening is probably the best option. Of course, the prices will likely be higher. I used to occasionally see pretty blue and white flower pots out and about, but, as noted, availability tends to run in cycles and, of course, so many venues where one might once have found similar items at reasonable prices have, unfortunately, become defunct.

What I like about this is the placement of books and objects on the shelves.

Vertica books, horizontal book stacks, broken up a bit by decor. Nicely done.

The room, while not my preference on style, is nice enough but, like most everyone else has stated, there should be soft cozy chairs that you can actually curl up in to read.

For sure, the room needs more comfortable and commodious seating to be a true reading area. Sorry, I couldn't include a larger picture of the room, but I believe I recall there is another, more comfortable, seating area for lounging while one reads. This area in front of the bookshelves is but a vignette.
