Well, I think it's about time for a change. I have two children- my DD, a Junior in college and my DS a high school senior. They share a bathroom (double sink area and a shower/bath/toilet separated by a closing door). DD is away at college most of the year, but still comes home for holidays, spring break and 3 months in the summer, at least so far! The problem is, I have not changed their bathroom paint and decor since we moved in 14 yrs ago. I'm ashamed to say they still have the same bright blue, sponge painted, fish-themed, bathroom they have had since they were just starting school/preschool! I'm talking right down to the primary colored fish border, and fish accesories. I can't believe neither of them has requested a change yet!

I'm having trouble coming up with a reasonable color palette and decor ideas. I would like to go with maybe some neutral lighter greens or beige's. The blue color makes for such a dark bathroom. Does anyone have any favorite colors they have used or seen and/or any decorating ideas or themes for people of this age? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Photos of your own bathroom decor would be great too.
