The room is beautiful. I love the jewel tones. My SIL is a interior designer and her favorite fabrics is velvet.

I am not a fan of this full-time I don't like the huge mural r the drab colors of the furniture. It needs some brightening up!

This is beautiful..love the colors. It is heavy looking so I don't think it would work in all locations.

Overall, I think this room is poorly done. It looks cold and uninviting despite the velvety looking furniture.

IMO, there so much wrong, no sense in making suggestions to improve it. Remove everything.

These owners missed the mark by 100%.

Pretty, but the walls need a softer color like egg shell. The white is too stark and hard on the eyes.

Someone is trying to show off their velvet textiles and that includes the wall hanging. That is what stands out. The wall hanging doesn’t balance with the fireplace, which makes it looks ever so tiny. Speaking of which, why is the chair in front of the fireplace placed so that it is facing away from the fireplace? Why is there a picture leaning against the wall? The carpeting looks worn which makes the color even more drab. The coffee table is a stark contrast and is almost invisible. The chandelier was overlooked completely and is out of place. Won't even mention that ottoman's annoying presence. @Foxxee -- you nailed it.

I love the velvet couch and chairs, just beautiful. I do not think the decor and the coffee table enhance though. I would take the chairs and couch and work around that to my taste.

Very pretty but too high end for my tastes and comfort level! Looks like this would be in an expensive New York apartment building. It is lovely!

I could work with this room but would tweak several things. For starters.....replace the painting, add some color to the walls and replace the accent pillows for some with jewel tone prints, etc.

I love the jewel toned colors, and this is very elegant, but I think would only work in certain homes....But very pretty and elegant!

I like the white walls, furniture, chandelier and fireplace.

I would.......replace the pillows (too dard), disc over fireplace, mural and pic beside the fireplace, and move the chairs to face the sofa

I think the walls should have a bit more color, It seems cold. But otherwise I like it.
