Maytag fancy dryer wrinkles clothes

I thought I got the best in Maytag dryers. It always leaves me with wrinkled clothes after drying. I'm not a ''happy camper''.

Dryers today usually have several setting selections - not just one. My GE offers Wrinkle Free option - not every piece comes out totally wrinkle free - depends on the fabric - cotton - mixed blend, etc. Another selection: you set how long dryer will run - 10 min - 20 mins..................surprised if you can't adjust something.

Just last week, I bought a new Speed Queen washer and dryer. They are not the fancy kind that I've had and hated for several years. I will be thrilled to say goodbye to my Maytags.

I have a new Maytag dryer (not top of the line) and it has a wrinkle cycle. Does yours have that? Also, it has an option to turn on the wrinkle reducer that when the dryer stops it tosses the clothes when it done to they don't get wrinkled.

@fthunt Mine has WRINKLE PREVENT AND ALSO WRINKLE CONTROL...pretty useless. I've adjusted every which way possible...lots of ironing for me !!

We bought a Maytag Bravos and it lasted only 5 years before it had to be replaced. I was told Maytags are not made with the same durability as they were in the past. Try a lower setting.

@Winkk Yes, mine has 'wrinkle prevent and also wrinkle control'...doesn't help.

I have an almost 30 year old Whirlpool dryer. And it works fine. No wrinkles.

When you use a dryer and don't want wrinkles, you should sort your clothing first. If you put a lightweight cotton/poly shirt in with heavy trousers, your shirt is going to wrinkle.

If you overload the dryer with too much clothing, you will get wrinkles.

If you put fabrics that take longer to dry, such as cotton denim and with fabrics that dry quickly, such as a fleece sweater, you will get wrinkles.

I often separate a load of just washed clothing into two loads for the dryer. It helps keep the wrinkles from forming and the loads dry faster.

@Carmie I agree with your method. I often do a super large wash load of clothing and separate that into 2 dryer loads. Makes a world of difference.

What I didn't like about the dryer was the length of time it took to dry the clothes. I kept the lint filter and hose clean but over time it just pooped out. The washer was worse. It had a mind of its own. A couple of years ago my daughter went to her local appliance dealer who told her to buy the old fashioned appliances. I had the exact experience with my local appliance dealer. I listened to him. My daughter told me that advice was the best.

Put a few already dried/clean towels in with whatevr you're drying - really helps.
